4 | Luke 23:34 | Luke 23:34 | Ngop | 105498
Jcrichton, Greeting and thanks for the response. My question is not aimed at the prophecy of the coming of the Messiah. I am after those who crucified Jesus and Jesus asked the Father to forgive. The first point is : 1. Since Jesus was the one who asked the Father, were the sins forgiven? 2. When Jesus said " They do not know what they were doing" , being God, He knew their hearts? 6 | Temple of the Holy Spirit | 1 Cor 6:19 | Ngop | 105438
Emmaus, Greetings and thank you for your response. But God dwells in the flesh of Jesus because Jesus' flesh is not from dust. It is the Word made flesh ( John 1:1 ). In the Temple of Jerusalem, God's glory not God dwells in it ( I think; not so sure ).And in Exodus 25:8, God dwells among the people not in the Tabernacle. It think it means, God's presence was with them. And if I may add, in Roman 7:14, our flesh is sold as slave to sin. God and sin are like oil and water that will never mix. How will then the Holy Spirit dwells in our sinful body. God bless Ngop |

7 | Jews and Gentiles NOT equal ? | Matt 15:22 | Ngop | 104781
Brother Joel, Thanks for telling me about the personal profile. I didn't know about it until you told me. I always wanted to know the people in this forum especially my favorite ones like Radioman2, Searcher56, MommaPBS, Makario,Emmaus and Tim Moran I learn a lot from their posts. By the way, I just realize you guys are mostly from the US of A. Ngop |

EdB, Brother, we just look at it this way. These people you refer to are trying to seek God. Curiosity is the beginning of Knowledge. When they start asking "Why God did this or that" or "Where is God", they will soon find out the answers and EUREKA! another soul burdened by the 40 million plus babies killed by their own mothers. God bless Ngop |

9 | Jews and Gentiles NOT equal ? | Matt 15:22 | Ngop | 104776
Joel K Greetings, Brother. Before everything else, hold your horses. I did not contradict your post. In fact I supported it with the verse from John 4. The Jews may be the the chosen ones "BUT an hour is coming, and NOW IS, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such PEOPLE the Father seeks to be His worshipers". It is because of the rebellious hearts of the Jews that Jesus said the hour is now that the Father seeks the PEOPLE that worship in truth and spirit. Certainly no longer the race. I find this topic very interesting because this also burdened me when I first saw the Light a few years ago. I have asked heaps of preachers and priests during those times. I know it is very burdensome to Shelton, that's why I tried to share. Your Gentile Brother in Christ, Ngop |

Edb, The question raised is very similar to "Why does God allow the innocent ( men, women, children ) die in terrorist attacks like 911. Surely, God can do something." I think we will never understand. Just like the ants wouldn't understand why people ride cars. God bless. Ngop |

14 | Who created evil? | Gen 3:1 | Ngop | 92199
Brother Radioman2, Thank you. I had a wrong approach that is why I can't understand. This is what made it clear" "It is helpful, I think, to understand that sin is not itself a thing created. Sin is neither substance, being, spirit, nor matter. So it is technically not proper to think of sin as something that was created. Sin is simply a want of moral perfection in a fallen creature." I have read the posts under "evil" as suggested by Searcher56. I think most of those asking questions have the same approach of looking at sin the way I did. Please correct me if I am wrong. If Eve did make the right choice, there was no sin consequently no evil. The wrong choice remains in the serpent's mouth, never to become a sin. And the same goes to Lucifer when he made the wrong choice. Funny, I thought I knew the Bible. God Bless Ngop |

15 | Biblical basis : Mind, body, spirit? | Matt 22:37 | Ngop | 92078
Hi Tim. Thanks for the reply. These are the ones bothering me: 1. People say, as a man, we are composed of mind, body and soul. Is this biblical? 2. What is soul, what is spirit, what is mind. When a person dies, which goes to hell or heaven? 3. In Gen. 2 : 7 " Then the LORD God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. What is this "breath of life"? Is it Spirit or Soul,or Life or Mind? If it is one of the above, then man is composed of only two things i.e. body and spirit or soul or life or mind? Thanks in advance, Tim God bless, Ngop |

16 | brother john | 1 Cor 3:16 | Ngop | 91033
Brother Hank, I fully agree with the latter part of your note. A Christian should do good to bear witness of his faith. And of course not to be a stumbling rock to fellow believers. But aren't all these depend on the state of mind. The present ongoing campaign against smoking is indeed making smoking a stumbling rock and a speck of sawdust in a smoker's eye. A making of a culture is in progress i.e. smoking is bad. I fully agree but is it only smoking? Mcdonalds, Coke, body piercing, diet pills, libido pills, the list goes on. So one will ask, where will this stop? Where are we going to set the line between community acceptance and sin? Missing a Mass on the day of Mother Mary's Ascension used to be a sin when I was a Catholic. It is a day of obligation for the Catholic community. It is not a sin to me anymore. My real opinion on this matter is God gave us freedom but because of our desire to make this world better, we tend to create rules to restrict ourselves from doing bad things. In the end, we become prisoners of our own doing. God Bless Ngop |

17 | brother john | 1 Cor 3:16 | Ngop | 91019
Let me quote "Some do say that "we are left with our own understanding and interpretation of the Word." If it is truly by the Holy Spirit, it is not "our" interpretation. It is that of the Holy Spirit." I say " it is still "my" interpretation but guided by the Holy Spirit as I have the choice of accepting or rejecting the guidance provided to me. And it is called " Freewill "". This forum where different interpretations come around proves that the Holy Spirit respects our Freewill. God Bless Ngop |

18 | brother john | 1 Cor 3:16 | Ngop | 90903
Brother George, I think you are generalizing too much. I never heard of anybody addicted to shopping. If ever there is somebody who shops daily, I believe it is more of a hobby than addiction. And if a person can do such a hobby, I would say the person is well blessed. Your support verse :" If we sin willfully after that we received the knowledge of truth... " is the essence of the discussion! What is the truth? Is smoking a sin? To you, it is yes, But is it the truth? We all know, smoking was never mentioned in the Bible. And because of that, we are left with our own understanding and interpretation of the Word as guided by the Holy Spirit God Bless, Ngop |

Emmaus, This issue has been debated for centuries and never been resolved. I agree with you that to continue will be futile. But the sharing was very educational though. Please disregard my previous note regarding this issue. I sent it before I read your 3-part explanation. If I may ask, are you a Catholic Priest? God bless, Ngop |
