Those who survive must meet the qualification that they "beg to escape and call on the name of the Lord and are willing to die rather than seeking to save themselves." Luke 17:33. Only those who seek to save themselves will be fed to the birds. Luke 17:37. Mel at www.lastday.net |

Ancient, You claim that "Neither side has ever been able to convincingly argue their view. The debate has raged for at least 1500 years." But new evidence ends the impasse. The last martyrs coming out of the great tribulation must complete the number appointed to die (Rev.6:11) before God avenges their blood. At the same time, those who "overcome to the End" do not begin to "reign over the nations" until Christ comes in glory WITH all the Saints." The martyrs do not begin to "serve God day and night in the temple of heaven" until God casts the Beast and False Prophet into Hell. They don't even "enter the temple in heaven until the last (7th) plague of God's anger empties in midair and God decrees: "It is Done; the End has come." Rev.15:5,8. They describe the plagues as having manifested that God's judgments had already completed His anger and call for His wrath. The day of His wrath and the appearance of Christ with all the Saints begins the 1000-Year-Day of the Lord. Mel at www.lastday.net and lastday1@cox.net. |

The beheading and the 1000 years are literal or the "first resurrection" makes no sense. Neither the reigning nor the living ends with the 1000 years. The martrys who "serve God in the temple of heaven day and night" for 1000 years will continue to serve God when the New Jerusalem comes down from heaven upon the New Earth. Those who survive to the End will "reign over the nations" for 1000 years and then continue to serve God in the New Jerusalem forever. Those who are "kept alive" at the end of the great tribulation will become the nucleus of the eternal kingdom on the New Earth which they will "inherit forever" at the End of the Millennium. Truely Blessed, Yes, I am saved but what about the "ones who are left of all those that come against Jerusalem and who must come annually to Jerusalem to worship the Lord?" Zech.14:16. What about the "one who is left" and is not fed to the birds in Luke 17:33-37? Is he "kept alive if he is willing to die"? Luke 17:33. Why does Jesus urge those who see Him coming in glory with all the Saints to "beg to escape all these things and to stand before the Son of Man?" Luke 21:36. To what nations do all the martyrs refer, after coming out of the great tribution, who will come to "worship the Lord"? Rev.15:4. Over what nations will Jesus and those who are overcomers rule with a rod of iron? Rev.2:26, Rev.12:5, Rev.19:15. Where do the "sheep nations come from that inherit the kingdom prepared for them from the foundation of the world while the goat nations are cast into Hell"? Matt.25:33,34,46. How can any of these things occur if all the unbelievers who survive until Christ appears are destined to Hell"? Mel |

6 | Rider -Jesus or Anti-Christ | Rev 6:2 | Lastday | 99604
The usual interpretation of the White Horseman is that he represents the Beast. A friend and I have believed since Dec.23 of 1988 that this Horseman stands for the "defense and spread of Democracy." My friend heard Pres.Reagan and David Brinkley discuss the "victory" of Democracy over Comunism during the prior years. I read an article in the Wall Street Journal on "An Ideology for all Seasons." Independently of each other, on the same day, we believed we had the answer to the identity of the Rider on the White Horse of Rev.6:1,2. The word "bow" means to conquer by "struggling" against the opposition as of a seed to grow or a child to be born. Forces that oppose Democracy must be overcome. Daniel 2:40-44 predicts the endtime "mixture of iron and clay" in which Democratic forces seek to join with all forms of government among the "seed of men." I believe Revelation paints the same picture in Rev.17 of Mystery Babylon bringing all the elements of "iron and clay" governments together. The victor's crown given to the White Horseman, in my view, symbolizes the Nuclear Bomb which not only won the war but served as a deterrent during the "cold war" with Communism until the Berlin Wall came down in 1989. If the "bow" represents the struggle to uphold Democracy, then the Rider is not a single person but whoever has led in "going forth conquering in order to overcome evil forces that seek to destroy us." Right now President Bush is doing a superb job in not only containing Terrorism, but in defeating those who would use this evil method to dominate other nations. I believe the coming attempt by religious leaders to unite all rulers and realms and regimes to maintain world peace will fulfill the role of Mystery Babylon the Great before we even begin to know who the Beast might be. 7 | one world government (Revel.)? | Rev 17:18 | Lastday | 99393
Ezekiel, The Woman of Rev.17 has three seats. One is historical, sitting on many waters (peoples, nations and tongues) since the time of Nimrod. The second is geographical, sitting on seven mountains. The third sees her at the head of the Endtime global government, sitting on the Beast until Ten Kings remove her from power and give their "power and authority to the Beast." Rev.17:13,16. The seven heads represent two things ... the Mountains which constitute her position as the ruling City and Kings or kingdoms with whom she has and will associate herself throughout seven world empires of history ... Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome and Revived Rome under the Vatican. Some think the Great City is New York but that City has not been filled with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus as required by Rev.18:24. She must qualify as the Harlot that shed the blood of the martyrs during the Holy Roman Empire. Practically, while America has qualified in fulfilling the role of the White Horseman since World War II, no city in this nation sits on seven hills geographically and our system lacks the whoredoms with all religions as that taken over by Rome and still to be centered at Rome. Nor does any city of ours qualify to sit on the Beast governmentally. That City must exercise a global power extension of the rule of Daniel's 4th Empire at Rome. Only that empire (revived) will be destroyed by the "Stone cut out without hands." But the Vatican at Rome can mix Daniel's elements of "iron and clay" in one conglomerate. American will suffer great loss of prestige, power and patronage when Rome falls in one hour and Ten Kings, who hate the City and Democracy, confiscate the System's Network and support the Antichrist who also "hates" Christians and Jews. The EU looks like it may support a global System which seeks to bring all religions and rulers and regimes under her arbitration. Perhaps the next Pope will fulfill John Paul's dream of uniting all nations under One World Government. See his book on "Sources of Renewal" based on the Second Vatican Council's judgments which he wrote before becoming the present Pope. The fall of Great Babylon will be God's doing in order to "fulfill His will that judgment begins with God's household." Rev.17:17, I Pet.4:17. Mel www.lastday.net lastday1@cox.net |

8 | Millions led by Satan equal Goat Nations | Rev 20:8 | Lastday | 99209
One of our number wonders where so great a number comes from who are deceived by Satan when the 1000 years are finished. Rev.20:8. It is true that God will destroy all the wicked sinners on the Day of the Lord. These wicked ones "refuse to repent" during the trumpet and plague judgments. They include the 200 million soldiers who come from the East and kill a third of mankind just before entering the Holy Land to "make war against the Lamb." Rev.9:15, 17:14. If they kill 2 billion people over a "quarter" of the earth's surface (Seal 4), that means up to 800 million Muslims (descendants of Ishmael's 12 tribes) suddenly bow down as Christ comes with all the Saints. (This is not to mention the rest of the 4 billion people who survive the Holocaust of the 6th Trumpet.) What happens to the 800 million Muslems if they "beg to escape all these things and to stand before the Son of Man"? Luke 21:36. This verse cannot apply to believers because they will all be overcomers and fully prepared for Christ's coming. I believe those Jesus urges to beg to escape all that happens on the sun-darkened day He appears applies primarily to Jews when they "mourn" and the entire remnant of one third who survive will be saved, but not "gathered together above." Zech.12:10, Zech.13:8,9, Joel 2:32, Matt.24:30, Rev.1:7, Rom.11:26, Heb.8:8-13. Now, I realize the Jewish remnant and the 800 million Muslims are left behind during the Hour of Trial from which all Believers will be kept through the Rapture. Jesus offers hope of being preserved (Lk.17:33) to "all who are willing to die." They will be "kept alive" (same word used of Moses kept alive in the Nile River basket). Now consider the setting pictured by Jesus wherever there are "Twosomes. One will be taken and one left." Both are unbelievers since no Believer will suffer judgment or be left behind. The two working by "day" are on the opposite side of the earth to those who are in bed at "night." So this is a global picture of millions wherein half of the 4 billion who survive could cry out for mercy. The destruction coming "as it was in the days of Noah" need not apply to the millions being left behind! God will "preserve" every one who is not "fed to the birds." Luke 17:37, Matt.24:28, Rev.19:17-21. Now for the great masses who exist at the end of the 1000 years. They are divided between "sheep and goat" nations which form as a result of the Jews being at the head of the nations, of the stipulated necessity for all "those left behind" (Zech.14:16; Rev.15:4) to come annually to Jerusalem to worship the Lord and to fulfill the New Covenant embraced by Israel (Heb.8:8-13). By this the "knowledge of the Lord will so cover the earth so that all will know the Lord." Now what is the purpose for the New Earth at the end of the Millennium? Jesus will separate the sheep nations from the goats and cast the latter into Hell. The sheep nations will "inherit the kingdom forever" (to fulfill the eternal kingdom promised to the natural descendants of Abraham and to fulfill the Davidic Covenant) Matt.25:34. God will have an "earthly people" living on the New Earth (only the Bride inhabits the New Jerusalem) who will "bring their honor and glory into the New Jerusalem" during the eternal state. Their "healing" will be maintained by the same leaves of the Tree of Life after they come into the New City as that required during the Millennium itself. Ezek.47:12, Rev.21:24-26, Rev.22:2. Where else could enough mortals be found to produce as many as the "sands of the sea" for the final battle of Gog and Magog when the 1000 years are finished? By the way, the 1000 years cannot begin until "all the martyrs come out from the Great Tribulation" and learn that they alone will "serve God day and night as pillars in the Temple of heaven for 1000 years." So the 1000 years are not finished until they enjoy the identical blessings of the New Jerusalem for 1000 years in advance of that enjoyed by all the Bride through eternity. Rev.3:10, Rev.7:15-17; Rev.20:4,5, Rev.21:4. Friends, the Martyrs win the highest reward available to the Church. Jesus promises they will receive the name of God, the name of the New Jerusalem that later comes down out of heaven and "My new name." What an incentive for Believers to "love not their life unto death" and especially for the "few (some) who must taste death" for up to three final days while the Two Prophets lie dead ... waiting for the last martyr to be killed before "God judges and avenges their blood." 10 | Holy Place - holy place? | Heb 9:2 | Lastday | 99170
Mommapbs, If you believe the Rapture occurs before the great tribulation, you must also accept that, in the days immediately thereafer, Jesus will also "gather the Elect together above, from all the extremities of earth unto heaven, and will send the angels to gather them out of the four wind directions of all the extremities of the heavens." That is His promise in Mark 13:24,27 and Matt.24:29-31. But since this gathering occurs after the 1260 Endtime days, God's Day of Wrath cannot begin until the Lamb opens Seal 6 (Prior to Act One of the Open Temple) and the Hour of wrath cannot begin until He opens Seal 7 (Prior to Act Three of Trump 7 where alone God's wrath is announced from heaven as having come). Seal 7 describes the same Tribunal and Verdict as found in Dan.7:9-22 after the Lamb rescues the 144,000 from Mt. Zion and they "come with Him on the clouds of heaven to present Him as the worthy Son of Man by singing the new song of the Lamb on that Day. Dan.7:13, Rev.14:3,4, Rev.15:3,4. The Lamb rescues them and they present the Son of Man before God in song and then the Court sits in judgment on the Beast. The 7th Trumpet itself does not sound that God's wrath has come until the 7th Bowl Plague empties into the air, for no one enters the Temple prior to the last Plague. Rev.15:8. The Plagues do not complete God's wrath. They had already exhausted His anger. See New Jerusalem Bible on Rev.15:1. God's anger must mix full strength in the Cup of Wrath (14:10) after the Tribunal of Seal 7 and Dan.7 and after martyrs sing that the plagues had already completed God's anger, aorist tense! That's when the Temple opens with "after these things, I looked and behold ..." Rev.15:5. The action in the Temple begins instantly with the same expression in 7:9: "after these things, I looked and behold." All those having been killed and having "come out of the great tribulation" (the 144,000 at Rev.14:1-5, all the martyrs from under the Altar according to 7:14 and the Two Prophets raised up at 11:12) enter the Temple and praise God and the Lamb by name for the first time. 7:9-17! The Testimony of Act One (7:9-17) is anticipated in Rev.15:5. Act Two, the Tribunal of Seal 7 with its Verdict of Fire and Act Three, the Triumph of Trump 7 with Christ's coronation, immediately follow with the proclamation that God's wrath has come. Revelation is not written as a chronological unfolding of events. God's wrath is limited to the Cup of Anger and Wrath poured out during the Hour of Trial on all the inhabitants of earth and on the wicked gathered to Armageddon. Rev.3:10, 14:10, Luke 21:35. The only combined execution of "anger and wrath" mentioned in the Greek is at Rev.16:19-21 and 19:15-21. Mel |

mommapbs, If the Elect of Matt.24, as you believe, are the Jews only, then why would Jesus gather only the Jews "together above from the extremities of earth to the extremities of heaven in the days after the Great Tribulation" (Mark 13:24,27) and why send the angels to then "gather none but the Jews out of the four wind directions from all the extremities of the heavenS" (plural)? Matt.24:29,31. Why would He gather only the Jews from earth to heaven and leave surviving non-Jewish Believers behind during the "hour of trial that comes on all the inhabitants of all the earth"??? 12 | Christ comes in kingdom power at the End | Mark 9:1 | Lastday | 99152
Dear Taleb, I gave the same evidence that Jesus, Daniel, Paul and Revelation give to require the building of a third Temple. If the "abomination standing in the holy place" is not the Temple that exists during the 1260-day Endtime, then we should not discuss the issue because it leads to mutual recriminations and unhealthy feelings. I note you also avoided answering my question. I asked for reasons that Matt.24:14 has already been fulfilled. If the End here spoken of has occurred, as you claim, then what was the Sign of Christ's literal Presence after the greatest tribulation of all time? Regarding that Sign, Jesus said: "You will know the End and My coming is Near, even at the doors." I cannot dialogue with one who thinks Jesus personally came in glory as of AD 70. If you are a full Preterist, as you seem to be, then of course you believe Christ and the End have already come. If so, and respectfully, I have no personal desire to continue a dialogue. Mel |

Good response, CDBJ This announcement that the HOUR of God's anger filled Cup of wrath has come (14:10) shows that Rev.14 takes place as part of 100 verses in Revelation that will be fulfilled on the Day Christ comes in glory. 14 | Is Matthew 24:14 almost fulfilled yet? | Col 1:23 | Lastday | 99111
Dear Taleb, You need to at least give a reason for claiming Matt.24:14 has already been fulfilled. Jesus had already shown that "some will taste death after He comes in Kingdom Power" through the Two Prophets for 1260 days which end within four days of His Apocalyptic Presence. The fact that only "some" will still taste death indicates that "many who endure to the end will be saved" from God's wrath as well as from physical death! Mel. lastday.net. |

15 | Christ comes in kingdom power at the End | Mark 9:1 | Lastday | 99110
Hi Taleb, Jesus had to be talking about an existing 1260-day Endtime Period Temple if the 1260 days are literal 24-hour days. The texts in Matthew 24:15 and Mark 13:14 do not describe the destruction of the Temple in AD 70 as does Luke 21. Jesus ends the great tribulation period of 1260 days by giving "The Sign of the Day" of His Epiphany, the Day of His Apocalyptic Presence. The Abomination in the Temple begins the 3 1/2 times or 1290 days, cut short to 1260 days. On the Unknown Lastday, one of the 3 1/2 days the two Prophets lie dead on a street in Jerusalem, Christ will raise up every believer, including 144,000 Jews, then the Two Prophets, then the Elect whom He will gather together above from earth to heaven. All believers rise up on the same day, although each group in its "own order." I Cor.15:23. Revelation requires a third temple that John measured for its worshipers; but the outer court of that temple and Jerusalem itself will still be "trodden under the feet of Gentiles for 42 months. Rev.11:1,2. Hebrews quotes Jeremiah regarding the New Covenant for Israel and Judah that must still be fulfilled and which also requires a Millennial Temple. The New Covenant to which saved Jews and Gentiles now belong does not forbid a special aspect of the New Covenant for ethnic Israel when Messiah comes to redeem them and restore their Kingdom during which all mankind will "know the Lord." Heb.8:8-13. I discuss this interpretation only with those who agree these verses should be taken literally as of the Millennial role of Israel at the head of all the nations for 1000 years until the "sheep and goat nations" are separated. 16 | Christ comes in kingdom power at the End | Mark 9:1 | Lastday | 99081
Hi mommapbs, We all focus on the length of time just as that was Daniel's primary question and the answer was "sealed until the time of the End." He kept seeking more info until he was told the End of the "purging and purifying for many" would be encompassed within 1290 days. Dan.12:11 Jesus calls this the great tribulation and states that, at the abomination in the Temple, we will "know the End is near." So what matters depends on this sign to begin with. I find five Catalysts of this Endtime period. The first requires the "rule of Babylon the Great over the kings of the earth" because Ten Kings will destroy the city in one hour before Antichrist "takes peace from the earth." Mel |

17 | Christ comes in kingdom power at the End | Mark 9:1 | Lastday | 99080
Candy Lee, I think you are beginning to see that the 1260 "days" of great tribulation must climax with Christ's visible return from heaven ... that is "in the days immediately thereafter." There is no setting of 1260 years that began with the "abomination in the Temple" which qualify as being the days in which those who "see that abomination" may survive to the End while seeing all these things being fulfilled and while the Jews await the Messiah. Neither that "Generation" nor those living during those days will pass away before all these things are finished. Mel |

18 | Christ comes in kingdom power at the End | Mark 9:1 | Lastday | 99079
Candy Lee, Thanks for your question showing you may be open to the fact that Jesus began and then concluded the great tribulation period (of 1260 days) with the "abomination in the Temple and His coming in glory in the days after that tribulation." Mark 13:24-27; Matt.24:29-31. Confusion comes from failing to recognize that only Luke describes a "surrounding of Jerusalem by armies and the exile of Israel into all nations until Gentile Times are finished!" Jesus, in Luke's account, does not give the Sign of His Epiphany until those (3 1/2) times are completed and that sign agrees with "the Sign" which Mark and Matthew place "immediately after the great tribulation" of 1260 days. So it is wrong to suggest that Jesus came in the days after AD 70. The Sign given by Mark and Matthew (Rev.6:12-17) occurs "in the days after" the completion of 1260 days that begin with a not yet built third Temple. It will be measured for the altar and worshipers (Rev.11:1,2) but Jerusalem will be "trodden under the feet of Gentiles for 1260 days" until the Beast kills the Two Prophets and they, for up to 3 more days (Rev.11:7-12), lie dead in Jerusalem while "some must still taste death" (Mark 9:1) until the last martyr, according to Rev.6:9-11, determines the hour has come to avenge their blood. 19 | Why will God judge the church? | 1 Pet 4:17 | Lastday | 99078
mommapbs, The term "pre-wrath" is misleading. The only true pre-wrath position is that which recognizes God's wrath does not occur until Christ appears in glory. That occurs after heaven's only announcment that "God's wrath has come." Rev.11:18. This announcement is made when the Temple is "open" (Rev.11:19) and "no one can enter the Temple in heaven until the last plague of God's anger has emptied in the air". Rev.15:8. mommaphs, The believers who escape God's wrath include every one of them who survives to the Day of Christ's Epiphany. Therefore, as John wrote, the "plagues complete (exhaust) God's anger" and "God's wrath has come" only at the 7th Trumpet which sounds "in the days after chronos in no longer and God's mystery was finished."
