1 | When will Christ come in Kingdom Power? | Mark 9:1 | Lastday | 42755
Indeed, Revelation 12:10 places the fulfillment of God's Kingdom Power at the time when Michael casts Satan out of heaven forever. This period is referenced in verse 14 as the 3 1/2 years or 1290 days of Daniel's Endtime prophecy which climaxes with Christ coming in the clouds of heaven with His angels to reward every Believer. Therefore I believe Mark 9:1 will be fulfilled during the great tribulation before Mark 8:38 can be fulfilled by Christ's "coming in His Father's glory with the holy angels." Do you concur? 2 | When is Dan.12:11; Rev.12:11 fulfilled? | Mark 9:1 | Lastday | 42892
Jesus did not say that "some of YOU will not taste death until the Son of Man comes in His Kingdom." Those who will be "standing HERE" at the Endtime must include those who face death for 1260 days until Christ "comes in glory to reward them." So Matt.16:28 must be fulfilled before Matt.16:27. 3 | When will Christ come in Kingdom Power? | Mark 9:1 | Lastday | 43001
How amazing! You note the personal reference that Jesus makes about His supernatural foresight of the plight of His Endtime Saints who will "KNOW the End is Near." Matt.24:33. He predictively addresses "those HERE who will love not their lives unto death" during the 42 months Satan is banished from heaven and God's Two Prophets demonstrate His "Kingdom Power and Christ's Authority" for 1260 days - while "some" face death for 3 more days of knowing Christ is "about to come in glory." No wonder they are overcomers! Matt.16:27! Mel at lastday@pinn.net
4 | Why admit Two Prophets were not THERE? | Mark 9:1 | Lastday | 43080
Hi Raven, Your thoughts are excellent. But Jesus had Rev.12:10,11 and Dan.12:10,11 in mind in order to prepare those who will then know He is "about to come in glory," as stated in Matt.16:27, but that "some of them must still taste death for three days "after the Two Prophets finish" demonstrating God's Kingdom Power for 1260 days. "Those standing HERE" know Christ will appear "in the days when time is no longer...in the days whenever the 7th Trumpet is about to sound." Rev.11:6,7. Mel lastday@pinn.net |

5 | Why admit Two Prophets were not THERE? | Mark 9:1 | Lastday | 43087
Jesus has those in mind who will "taste death" just before He comes in glory to "reward every believer." Matt.16:27. Peter talks about Christ's coming in glory. Those who must taste death will be killed before He comes in glory. Rev.12:10,11 alone combines those "who love not their life unto death" with the "coming of God's Kingdom Power." This is the context for "HERE is the patience of the Saints" during the 42 months when the Beast overcomes them; but they also "overcome" Satan to the End. How can you exclude this Endtime period? John shows this period is the "HERE AND NOW of God's kingdom power and Christ's authority...because the Saints overcome Satan by the blood of the Lamb!" Rev.12:10-14;Rev.13:5-10. 6 | God's Kingdom Power comes near the SC | Mark 9:1 | Lastday | 43257
The popular view that Mark 9:1 was fulfilled a week later has two basic flaws. It does not address the question of "not tasting death by any means until after Jesus comes in Kingdom Power." And it ignores the context for "tasting death." Jesus had just shown His concern for those who face death when He is "about to come in glory." The Transfiguration concerned Christ's death. It had nothing to do with "willing to take up our cross and follow Him" until the End. Only members of the Church who "overcome to the End will sit on thrones to reign with Christ." Rev.2:25,26. 7 | God's Kingdom Power comes near the SC | Mark 9:1 | Lastday | 43379
Jesus was talking about "taking up the cross and following Him" unto physical death in Mark 8:38. He is not here talking about dying in order to become "new creatures"; but to show they are "worthy of Him." They must be new creatures to begin with before they can die for Christ. Lastday |

8 | Did the Kingdom of God lost its roots? | Mark 9:1 | Lastday | 43835
God's Kingdom has never lost its roots. But the time to which Jesus refers when "some will not taste death, by any means," will be fulfilled during the Endtime of 1260 days when Jesus also states "we will know the end is near." Matt.24:33. This Endtime period is the final phase of God's Kingdom Power just before Christ returns in glory. We will know this final 1260 day countdown has begun only when "the abomination sits/stands in the Temple." Matt.24:15; Mark 13:14; 2 Thess.2:4; Rev.11:1-3. This period of 42 months is the time for God's Kingdom Power displayed through the Two Prophets (Elijah and John) to fulfill Rev.11:3-7 and Rev.12:10-14!! Mel lastday@pinn.net |

9 | John and Elijah as the Two Prophets? | Mark 9:1 | Lastday | 44025
Thanks Makarios! John is not only appointed to "prophesy again" but who is better qualified to reveal what "seven classes" of men acknowledge on the Day the sun ceases to shine? These classes will be hiding in the mountains from the invading armies in the valley of Megiddo. Where do they get the knowledge that the "Day of the Lamb's wrath has come"? The Apostle John will reveal this as one of the "Seven Thunders" in my opinion! No wonder Jesus called him a "son of thunder." John knows the details of what is coming...but which are not yet revealed. My primary reason for choosing John is that one of the Two Prophets represents the Olive Tree of OT Saints and the other represents N T Gentiles having been "grafted into that same Olive Tree." Please compare Zech.4:11; Rev.11:4; Rom.11:24 to get the prophetic fulfillment of God's "manifold wisdom and eternal purpose." Eph.3:10,11. Mel |

10 | "Seven classes" of men? | Mark 9:1 | Lastday | 44434
Thank you, Makarios, for the kind words. I am on my way now to the Library at Regent University to research why the expulsion of Satan from heaven, recorded in Rev.12:7-10, has not been recognized as one of "five catalysts of the Endtime." Mel
11 | How can Rev 6, 16, 19 be concurrent? | Mark 9:1 | Lastday | 44836
Please see part of the answer in my other note today on Seal Six which must open on the Day Christ appears in glory...or Jesus erred!! I am dedicated to the very "words of the Lord" as was Paul in the Rapture passage of I Thess.4:13-18. If trib-martyrs are among those who "sleep in Jesus," then God must "bring their souls with Jesus" so they also "rise first"...before those who are "alive and survive are caught up with the dead in Christ to meet the Lord"! 12 | How can Rev 6, 16, 19 be concurrent? | Mark 9:1 | Lastday | 44856
Thank you, dear Searcher. You have not rejected me but have failed to agree with the "word of the Lord" that He "raises up every/all believer(s) on the last day...that He will gather the elect from earth to heaven in the days AFTER the great tribulation and that God will bring ALL the souls of those that sleep in Jesus with Him." At least you cannot claim you did not know what He promised to all who "believe He died and rose." Mel
13 | Christ comes in kingdom power at the End | Mark 9:1 | Lastday | 96952
Candy Lee, Mark 9:1 must be understood in connection with Rev.12:10 where we find God's Kingom Power and Christ's Authority taking place at the Endtime of 1260 days ... see verses 6 and 14!! Mel Miller at www.lastday.net, and click on Meditations. |

14 | Christ comes in kingdom power at the End | Mark 9:1 | Lastday | 96961
What would be the point of saying that "some would not taste death, by any means, until after Pentecost"? All the Apostles died after Pentecost. The only explicit reference to the NOW of God's Kingdom Power is Rev.12:10. Mel |

15 | Christ comes in kingdom power at the End | Mark 9:1 | Lastday | 96985
Asis, I meant to explain that Christ comes in power at the End of time ... during the 1260 days when the Two Prophets "stand before the God of earth." You did not answer my question on why Jesus would say that only "some" would taste death when, in fact, they all died. Mel www.lastday.net |

16 | Christ comes in power for 1260 days! | Mark 9:1 | Lastday | 96988
Darcy, I understand your point about only 3 disciples "seeing" Him transfigured a week later. But He was not talking about a few who would not taste death, by any means, for no more than just a single week! What was the point of telling only these 3 they would survive just one week? Besides, Jesus did not come in Kingdom Power on the Mount because it was a foretaste of His coming in Person ... not of coming in power. Again, the context of Matt.16:27,28 shows that He was thinking of the Endtime period of 1260 days during which Believers will "know the End is near." They will count the 1260 days knowing that only "some standing here," in that context, must still die for Christ. This verse is His challenge for Believers to "not be ashamed of Him at His coming in glory." That too is the context of Mark 8:38 and 9:1. Mel. www.lastday.net |

17 | Christ comes in power for 1260 days! | Mark 9:1 | Lastday | 97047

18 | Christ comes in power for 1260 days! | Mark 9:1 | Lastday | 97048
Believers will not deny Christ during the 1260 days when Believers "will know the end is near." Matt.24:33. Because of God's Kingdom Power, "they will love not their life (corporately) unto death. They overcome Satan by the blood of the Lamb." Rev.12:10,11. Rev.13:8 and 17:8 indicate that only those whose names are NOT written in the Lamb's Book of Life will worship the Beast. 19 | Christ comes in kingdom power at the End | Mark 9:1 | Lastday | 97049
None of them died before the Spirit of promise came and endued them with power! Even the thought of whether Believers could die before they received eternal life is a hypothesis that is contrary to God's promise. I urge you to consider the main point of Mark 9:1, i.e., that Jesus is not thinking of the disciples but of "those who will be standing here" (when He is about to come in glory with the holy angels, Mark 8:38). Many in the Church today are not overcomers, but "they will overcome Satan by not loving their life unto death ... even some who must taste death for up to 3 days after the Two Prophets are killed." 20 | Christ comes in power for 1260 days! | Mark 9:1 | Lastday | 97093
Darcy, We still need to settle why Jesus had only "some" in mind who "would not taste death, by any means, until after they had seen the kingdom of God coming in power." His challenge relates to those who must still expect to taste death when "time is no longer and He is about to come in glory." "Truly," this mandate was so important that Jesus actully closed His Mission purpose for coming to build His Church with this mandate for "some who would taste death." A week later He took Peter, James and John to the Mount of Transfiguration. You observed that this mandate for death "began to be fulfilled in Mark 9:2" a week after He spoke these words. I am saying the context for an appointment with death relates to being unashamed of Jesus when He comes in glory with the angels to reward every believer (See parallel, Matt.16:27,28). His prediction to those who heard Him could not relate to the first century becaue they ALL died. He said only "some would die." The context was that of being "unashamed of Him at His coming in glory when it is *about" to happen!" I do not believe His message was merely informational, but that it was connected with being faithful unto death even when some must still taste death after they have seen God's Kingdom Power at the Endtime of Rev.12:10,11 when all Believers will Overcome because "they will love not their life unto death." I can't help but feel you are satisfied with the only reason for the prediction was to assure Peter, James and John alone that they must die ... but without saying when or why??? Mel |
