2 | Must you cover your head to pray? | 1 Cor 11:10 | Jesus777 | 174228
1Corinthians 11:15-But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering. There are still Churches that is required of women to cover their heads as their doctrine, but in reality this verse is saying is not necessary but it doesn't condemned us either. My personally admire women that do cover their heads I find that very pretty. God Bless You. In Christ Jesus777 |

3 | How does Hebrews 10:26 fit my problem | Heb 10:26 | Jesus777 | 174227
As well as Brother BradK The way you express yourself in your posting it seems like you have no proof that your husband is having an affair but just a feeling, unfortunately we as Christians cannot and should not go just by feelings. As the Law would say we are all innocent until proven guilty. I cant tell you what to do like brother Brad says, there is not much we can help you with in this matter, but as a mere thought is that if we say something about someone no matter what it is if is not with proof we are the one seining so lets not do such thing and leave everything to God just remember this ok, if in reality there is something going on Mark 4:22For nothing is hidden, except to be revealed; nor has anything been secret, but that it would come to light. So please don’t trouble your self with this, and as already mentioned I think that you shouldn’t have to be anxious and leave all your troubles upon God, Just leave everything in Gods hands and He shall do. Psalm 55:22-NASB-Cast your burden upon the LORD and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken. Matthew 11:28 Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Pray to God we could be of any help. In Christ Jesus777 |

4 | What's does The Message says? | 1 Cor 12:13 | Jesus777 | 174223
Hello BradK, Thank you for your fast response. But even thou you say is hard to support the previous question with verses you should have at least one thing to say on why the posting of The Message is wrong, and be able to support it with a verse. Like you just said The Message -is more geared for the novice- and but I never said it should be considered as a translation, but a simple way to explain things to a person that probably doesn’t understand big words. I do take under consideration ALL of the Versions of Studying Bibles as we can all see in here Bible gateway haves a very ample choice to choose from, for which I thank God for this blessing. But the same way there are various choices of Bibles to choose from, there are also many different opinions, and we All have our unique opinions and that doesn’t necessarily means that they are All going to agree with each other. Hi Morant61 God bless you I posted this information which I pray to God can help with your concern about this verse and its true meaning. 1 Corinthians 12:10-16 -The Message- 4-11God's various gifts are handed out everywhere; but they all originate in God's Spirit. God's various ministries are carried out everywhere; but they all originate in God's Spirit. God's various expressions of power are in action everywhere; but God himself is behind it all. Each person is given something to do that shows who God is: Everyone gets in on it, everyone benefits. All kinds of things are handed out by the Spirit, and to all kinds of people! The variety is wonderful: wise counsel clear understanding simple trust healing the sick miraculous acts proclamation distinguishing between spirits tongues interpretation of tongues. All these gifts have a common origin, but are handed out one by one by the one Spirit of God. He decides who gets what, and when. 12-13You can easily enough see how this kind of thing works by looking no further than your own body. Your body has many parts—limbs, organs, cells—but no matter how many parts you can name, you're still one body. It's exactly the same with Christ. By means of his one Spirit, we all said good-bye to our partial and piecemeal lives. We each used to independently call our own shots, but then we entered into a large and integrated life in which he has the final say in everything. (This is what we proclaimed in word and action when we were baptized.) Each of us is now a part of his resurrection body, refreshed and sustained at one fountain—his Spirit—where we all come to drink. The old labels we once used to identify ourselves—labels like Jew or Greek, slave or free—are no longer useful. We need something larger, more comprehensive. Before I close this posting I just feel like saying this with no disrespect at all, just as an advice not just to you but every one that can get the chance to read this posting. When reading the Scripture we have to remember that the first rule of interpretation and understand the Scriptures is that the Scripture is its own Interpreter. We cant interpret what one verse says, some times we have to read the verses before and the verses after to truly get and understand what the verse that we have a problem understanding means. 6 | Paul refers to mystery of Christ | Col 4:3 | Jesus777 | 174013
hi Rosiedog, Paul never visited Colosse before, a small town in the province of Asia. The Colossians church was a fruit of its three years of ministry in Ephesus. The scholars think that Paul wrote this letter during his first imprisonment in Rome, taking Tychicus the epistles to the Colossians, Philemon, and the Ephesus, to its respective destinies. The intention of this epistle was because at some time of the imprisonment of Pablo, Epaphras asked for aid to him to deal with a false doctrine that threatened the Colosse church. So it seems that this heresy was a mixture of pagan occultism, Jewish legalism and Christianity. Their errors remember one old form of Gnosticism, which taught that Jesus was not totally God nor man, but one of the semi divine beings that served of bridge to save the existing abyss between God and the world. Therefore, it said that Christ had no authority and capacity to satisfy the necessities with the colossians. Illuminated believers, nevertheless, could reach the spiritual fullness by means of special knowledge and a rigorous self-discipline. Impelled by the urgency to repatriate to Colossians the Onesimus slave, and to give it to its master, Paul wrote this letter with a quadruple intention: 1 - to report and to refute heresy 2 - to instruct to the Colossians in the truth and to alert them of the dangers to return to pagan vices 3 - to express its personal interest by the believers, and 4 - to urge them to foment the mutual harmony and the love. I hope this also helps! in Christ, Jesus777 |

7 | moses married how many times | Bible general Archive 3 | Jesus777 | 173915
Hi there again: If we read the Verses that our brother Searcher gives us Exo 2:21 we can find that in Exo. 2:21 says...Moses was content to dwell with the man: and he gave Moses Zipporah his daughter. But if we go back to verse 18 of the same chapter, 2 it reads as follow...And when they came to Reuel their father, he said, How is it that ye are come so soon today? And if we continue reading throughout the parallels we can go to the next verse that in this case is Num 10:29, and we can see here that it says... And Moses said unto Hobab, the son of Raguel the Midianite, Moses' father in law...but in here we can see that the name of his father in law is different also, now continuing with the parallels in Judge 4:11 Now Heber the Kenite, which was of the children of Hobab the father in law of Moses, and the other parallel of this verse is also Ex 2:18 which explains to us that the man that we have being reading all along is the same Jethro father in law of Moses. Now, for all of us that have read the continuous chapters in Exo 3:1 we can see that in here ...Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian Continuing with the other verse that follows, Num 12:1 -KJV-And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman. and in: Num 12:1 ASV-And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Cushite woman whom he had married; for he had married a Cushite woman. over here we can see that they are 2 different versions of bibles but they are both talking about the same woman which if we go to the parallel for that verse it would be Exo 2:18. So at the end we can see that, Moses was actually married only once, with Zipporah the daughter of: 1-Reuel, 2-Raguel the Midianite, 3-Hobab 4-Jethro. Now, if we take a look at what we have read we can conclude one of tow things, first that Moses was indeed married twice for what we read in: Exo 2:21 and, Num 12:1 But then if we go by what the rest of the verses -parallels- say about his father-in-law. We can also believe that he also had 3 or 4 father-in-laws, but then, how can we explain that he had 4 father-in-laws, if he only married twice? Pray to God this could be of help to all, the same way it has helped me. I thank God for this forum because the more we read the more we learn. God bless ALL! Humble servant of God, Jesus777 |

9 | How many more remember this? | John 7:16 | Jesus777 | 173595
I found this article and brought this subject to mind, making me wanting to share this portion of it with the forum: How many more remember this? ---We can see from these accusations against Socrates, where they were all derived from when he said to us, that the oracle told him, “that he was the wisest man on earth”, and Socrates started interrogating and asking himself, what was the reason of which the oracle got that idea from? He states, that he went and started a debate with the wise people, with the politicians and the artists. And from all Socrates concluded, that he himself was much more wiser than all of them, because they believed to be great men of knowledge, considered connoisseurs of many things but, in reality they were not at all. ---Socrates also tells us that in fact, there was the proof that they believed to be wise, as the characteristic in the idiosyncrasy of Socrates. He formulated many questions and began to act ignorant, to later demonstrate that the ignorant were the ones with which he was debating with, therefore they began to be hatred against Socrates, because he made them see that really those that were believed wise people were not. So then began the accusations by the different groups towards him. ---It concludes that when the oracle started saying, that Socrates was the wisest man on the Earth, the oracle meant that “The wisest man on the Earth was the one that thought that his wisdom was nothing” this reminded me the saying: “I only know, that I know nothing” with this I then understood that what Socrates meant was, “that the man who believes that he is wise and knows all the things limits himself to know only those things that he already knows, and by doing so he cannot see beyond”, meaning, he limits his mind to gain new forms of knowledge, because is quite rightly that a single life would not be able to gain not even 1 percent of all the existing things that are there to be know. http://html.rincondelvago.com/apologia-de-socrates_platon_16.html |

10 | Will Power and God | John 7:16 | Jesus777 | 173593
Hi NightJay0044: First of all I want to encourage you to keep looking the guidance of the Spirit, which is: John 16:13-KJV-Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. John 16:13-The Message-I still have many things to tell you, but you can't handle them now. But when the Friend comes, the Spirit of the Truth, he will take you by the hand and guide you into all the truth there is. He won't draw attention to himself, but will make sense out of what is about to happen and, indeed, out of all that I have done and said. He will honor me; he will take from me and deliver it to you. Everything the Father has is also mine. That is why I've said, 'He takes from me and delivers to you. Hebrews 13:9-KJV-Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace… Philippians 2:13-KJV-For it is God, which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Secondly, I can't agree more with Brothers Hank and John, You couldn't have said it better! I would like to make a little extra point and add this portion of the scripture where it makes very clear that is not with our strength but with the Lords strength that we get everything and for that we have to give him ALL the Glory, and with this said I am not implying in any way that anyone had said other wise. 28All this came upon the king Nebuchadnezzar. 29At the end of twelve months he walked in the palace of the kingdom of Babylon. 30The king spake, and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour of my majesty? 31While the word was in the king's mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, saying, O king Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it is spoken; The kingdom is departed from thee. 32And they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field: they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and seven times shall pass over thee, until thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will. 33The same hour was the thing fulfilled upon Nebuchadnezzar: and he was driven from men, and did eat grass as oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till his hairs were grown like eagles' feathers, and his nails like birds' claws. Humble servant of Christ. God Bless you all! Jesus777 |
