1 | do babies go to heaven or hell? | Bible general Archive 1 | farout | 37949
Dear friend in Christ. Denominations mean little to me. I have been a ABC baptist, Concertive Baptist, Southern Baptist, and now attend Calvary Chapel in Lake of the Ozarks. I say that just to make a point that it's not what the denomination says, or even the pastor but the Living Word of God. If we take Christ literally when he told the repentant thief on the cross he would be with Jesus that very day; Then why wshould we not take King Davids word as well? wE MAY HAVE A SIN NATURE BUT WHEN DO WE OF CHOICE BEGIN TO WILLFULLY SIN? Certianly not at birth ! Would you not agree that God is the one to make such mercy calls? Might I suggest even those special humans with no brain function are in His arms. I have done over 120 funerals. Never have I condemend someone to hell. I am not the judge. I can say with complete honesty that they are in the presents of Jesus. How Jesus makes theeir eternal home known to each person is Jesus job. I believe if a person has failed to make Jesus their LORD and followed in growth that person is not saved, but made a delerbet choice to follow satan and his lost angels. I am not the judge but I can say with assurance every knee will bow and agree with the Mercyfull loving God's judgement.

yOU MADE DIALOGUE INTERESTING ANDARE NON OFFENSIVE I LIKE THAT. I think we are both saying the same thing. My only possible exceptopn is that we can know that some are bound and some have gone th bein Heaven. I do judje when I know for sure a person has made Christ Lord. Jesus said no one con pluck then from his hand, including ones self. That the Holy Spirit SEALS us. What un-merrited love ! I kike exchanging views it stimulates growth and makes our faith fire.

Dear Hank: Thank you for your review, no offence is taken. I usually do a better job. I am one hundred percent disabled and take some thirty two medications. I should not have responded last night after taking my medications. I will in the future not respond after taking my late night meds. My deepest regret for the many mistakes I made. This does not excuse my lack of proof reading, but lets you know how much of a struggle my life is. God Bless and thank you again.
4 | Why not use Yahweh for LORD? | Bible general Archive 1 | farout | 39849
Is it possible this is selective translation. In the NT Baptize is transliterated from greek directly into english? There are some who think this was done so the type of baptism, sprinkled or dunked is not delt with in what some think it should be. The term "God" is use every where for a general use for a supreme being. "I am" or Eloi or Yahweh perhaps might be more specfic and meaningful?
5 | Why not use Yahweh for LORD? | Bible general Archive 1 | farout | 39980
Perhaps I am wrong but to me it seems you have a mistrust of bible scholars, preachers, and Ordained Ministers. I am ordained, and consider myself to have done some scholary work. I do not consider myself better or knowing the Bible better than anyone else. I am one who is growing in faith. I have a pretty complete supply of materials to look up answers. I some times ask questions to start a dialogue with others for mutual growth and edification. Should you not want to join such a dialogue, please consider if insulting and demeaning other christians, makes you come accross as impatient, and harsh. Which none of my questions are ever ment to be. Forgive me if I have not understood you correctly. Peace, farout |

6 | Enjoy a beer | Bible general Archive 1 | farout | 40410
Does anyone believe the wine Jesus made at the wedding was not fermented? I doubt it was as strong as whats made today. The real issue is what ever I do does it hamper others growth. If I were so minded that a glass of wine in my home with my wife was something we did and kept it to ourselves, then it becomes between us and God. If I drink to get a buzz thats not good. A lot of personal responsibility is in your heart to God. If in doubt don't. There are several non fermented wines and beers out in the market you know.

Brother CDBJ: Thank you for sharing your personal pilgrimage in studing the Truth. I too have been studing for eschatology for nearly 20 years. I believe by what you say we are on the same track. I am totally in agreement in the fact some eschatological experts theories have been forced to fit and the students they have taught their theories rather than how to search and study the Word for themselves. Study requires time and reading, something that is sadly lacking in many christians today. My study has brought me to basicly the same conclusion, except I am persuaded there will always be tribulation for the christian. Tribulation seems to get greater and more evil to the point of the rapture. My seeking is at what point will wickedness get to the point whem the Rapture will happen? No man knows only the Father. So how can certian authors who make a living out of ploting out the rapture, who will be left behind, and what mark they will receive be so utterly pin point positive? This appears to me as a money making fear tatic by so called expert "Eschatologist". Jesus said over and over when you see this or that the time is not YET. Which leads me to believe we may have many more years of birth pains to go through before He returns. I find it hard to fit exact little pieces of scripture taken out of context and put it together with another verse some where else and call it conclusive proof of the exact coming of Christ. That to me is a serious misrepresentation of Gods Holy Word. So...I did look at web address you suggested. I did not mean to shoot any darts. I wanted to hear if anyone else had struggled as I have trying to make these theories align with what the Word said. Thank You for personal touch. Peace in Christ, farout |

9 | is masterbation a sin explain thxs | Bible general Archive 1 | farout | 46797
Dear Tecnotrog, and Turkish: Your question and answer are truely amazing. First, do everyone a favor fill out your personal profile. Then we would know if we are dealing with a person who genuinely wants a real honest answer. In turn Tecnotrog, are you for real? Were did you study human sexuality? What verse of scripture did you take out of contex to come up with such a false uneducated answer? Do you honestly believe that a person male or female needs to fantasise and think about having sex with someone inorder to pleasure ones self? If you do, them YOU have a problem! What do you think the reason our bodies grow to the point that sexual gratification is possible? You mean only married persons are to enjoy sexual pleasure, while awake? I would say any male who by the age of 16 or so, who say they have never pleasured themselves, that they were not being honest. God gave this means of relief and pleasure to all humans, this is the healthy truth. I am not refering to being involved with paper picture sex, or anything of the sort. But Even Paul said to learn to control your vessel, or body. If a man or woman has not learned how to pleasure thenselves, and control their sexuality, then it will be a rough road in life. Married or unmarried, God has made us so what ever state we are in, we can still enjoy this gift of pleasure. I am not saying to take this to excess, but there is a healthy sexuality that is not a sin. Because people have taught that self pleasure is a sin, we have some people thinking sex is dirty and sinful. Did not God create you? Why did he give you the ability to have pleasure? If he did not intend it for your good, then tell me why. If you mean that only married persons can enjoy sexual pleasure, then you are in denial of the way life really is. I have given a direct honest answer to both of you. I only hope you have the integrity, and wisdom to face your humanity, that God made. I believed that for too long christians put their head in the sand and pretended that sex was easier to call sin, rather than face the facts as life really is. Perhaps if our sexuality were dealt with in a pure christian way, the world would jnotice that christians are different. Many christians have a baby on the way before they get married. The percentage of pregnant bride is the same as non-christians. What does that say? Have men and women learned self control? If not then why not? Think on this. Peace, farout |

10 | Are women allowed to be pastors? | Bible general Archive 1 | farout | 46809
There are many women Pastors today. Women Pastors have a long history in our country, from the early ehghteen hundreds. I have never been in a church with a woman as pastor. I have a bias that is hard for me to justify. I feel uncomfortable with the idea of having a woman as my pastor. For me I have seem some feminist agenda with women who were in seminary studing to be a pastor. From my view some of the women leaned to excepting a more liberal theology, supporting liberal issues. I do not see homosexuality, N.O.W. as acceptable from a biblical standpoint. I am not saying all women were or are like that. I am just not real sure I would fit in with a church that had a woman pastor. I would if the church had a husband and wife as co-pastors. Perhaps I would go if she were an assistant pastor. I will say I do not believe in men counseling women, or women counseling men. This has crushed many of pastors and marriages. At all costs we need to prevent any hint of wrong doing, and protect each other. I hope this helps. Peace, farout |

12 | need to know the order the bible was wri | OT general | farout | 40175
Brother Hank: I am honored to have you answer me. In Midwestern Baptist Thelogical Seminary I proudly took a D from a proffesor of Early Biblical Higher Criticism. Who is man to critique the very WORDS of GOD? How many students do you think graduate with such a "liberal" theology? This is an excellent place to dialogue with growing Christians, which I consider myself, and stimulate the mind into not soaking up the Power of Positive Thinking gospel of The Rev. Dr. R. S. and other off the wall false teachings.
13 | Why God told the Jews to Divorce. | Ezra 10:10 | farout | 39862
Please note they were divorced with a certificate. These wives were not "put away" or "sent away" so there was no legal way to retrieve their ex-wives, and it would have been a very serious sin to remarry someone you have divorced. The study already done on this is very well done what I add is so minor. Peace, farout |

14 | Anti Christ? Is America Babylon or Iraq? | Daniel | farout | 47112
According to "Tim Laheye"? Friend, if it were not for the book of Revelation brother "Tim" would have to find a job. Have you seen how many books he has put out in rapid fire, after LEFT BEHIND? I was a a book store last week and just the last bunch of books he wrote must be about ten, maybe. Lets see at about 20. a pop, that not to shabby a money a making deal for brother TIM, is it. I am really glad he has invested his time and talents. After all we need all his volumes to help us explain the book of Revelation in fine detail to us, Right? I personally don't think so! I can't believe The Reverend Tim Leheye know so much in detail, as to the latter times. If believers would spend as much time reading the book of Revelation as they do reading Leheyes material they might really be blessed as the book promises. What do you think? Do you suppose September 11, 2001 had anything to do with Tim Leheyes books? Some people are opportunist and a wise person does no believe everything thats in print by other christians. Read the Bible and decide for your self. Peace, farout |

15 | Anti Christ? Is America Babylon or Iraq? | Daniel | farout | 47181
Dear Debby: May I suggest you go to www:eguip.org and look up what information is there on Rev. John Hagee. Please note that John Hagee, and CLOUD MINISTRIES produced two of the movies from Rev. Tim Laheyes books. The inreresting of how it worked for "free" tickets to see LEFT BEHIND. Tickets were in the VCR Tape, given out when you bought the VCR Movie LEFT BEHIND. That free ticket allowed one to see a slightly different LEFT BEHIND, that was made to be in the local theater. The money making deal was to get other christian to front the money to get LEFT BEHIND shown in the theaters. This was suppose to make money for the christians who paid to rent the theater to show the movie version. To make an eleborate scheme short, christians were "LEFT BEHIND" holding the bag with a lot of free tickets that came in the VCR version. The renting of the theater seldom equaled the receipts paid by ticket buying viewers. Does that sound like something you would have wanted to be a part of? I mean no slams at you in any way. I have seem my elderly parents taken, by what seemed real planned out christian endovers that were to win souls for Jesus. When in reality they fattened the Reverends's store house, and not much else. I think that with less than ten percent of all christians reading the Bible, on a regular basis, books like LEFT BEHIND and the rest of this many volume set, it is a disgrace to think Rev. Leheye has it all planned out. John Hagee as well, has some issues that you need to read for yourself. I believe many in the pew gobble up what the preacher says with out ever proof texting what was said. I only bring up this because this scare the hell out of people to win them to Jesus is so wrong. The Bible says that you can not love if you are filled with fear. I again say I am not picking on you, I just would like you to "look beyond the bun" sorta speaking. Peace, farout. |

16 | Divorce or Putting Away ? | Matt 5:32 | farout | 39241
In Malachi 2:16 the word used there is PUTTING AWAY. Putting away was used to send a wife away with out a certificate. Later if her husband wanted her back he could legally take her and her children if she had remarried with out the certificate of divorce. Thus Malachi says God hates putting away. When Jesus said in Matthew 5:32 the word divorce, it is really translated putting away. At that time men could put away for almost any reason. Check it out carefully. Even the earliest KJV uses the words puts away. Dr. William Cobel at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, in Kansas City, Missouri, did extensive work on these passages. Dr. Coble is now retired but might still be reached there. This makes for eye opening study. I too belive marriage is to last a life time. However we live in a sinful wourld. Christians sin, and the mess it makes is almost beyond belief. Even King David found mercy and grace, and forgiveness. Uriah did eventually face David in paradise. What do you think happened? 17 | how to be saved | Rom 10:9 | farout | 37755

18 | Can a divorced person remarry? | 1 Cor 7:15 | farout | 39225
Divorce is sin. Does divorce have a significantly different way of confessing this sin? When either christian remarries, there is no way to the mend previous marriage. 1 John 1 9 does not say that there is any sin if we confess He will not forgive us. There may be wounds and scars that we will carry for our sins. However, I look at King David and I see God's mercy, love, and forgiveness. Legalism is what Jesus fought. There are not two standards, divorce is sin. God loves the sinner, but hates the sin. We too should do the same.
19 | Stay marriaed at all costs? | 1 Cor 7:15 | farout | 39234
I do not believe a true Christian will beat his wife as you describe. There are many unknowns in your situation. NO ONE HAS TO PUT UP WITH VIOLENT BEHAVIOR ! Call the police have him arrested! Press charges against him! You are permitting him to continue this to you is making him worse. Unless he is held accountable he will only get worse. Did not Jesus stop the stoning of the woman caught in adultry? Would not Jesus stop this abuse if He were there? I think so.
20 | Is visiting a grave a right thing to do? | 2 Cor 3:17 | farout | 39708
A year after my mother passed on, I was able to visit her grave. She was not there, only what remained of her physical body. I am sure what remained in the casket would be unsightly. Her spirit is with the LORD. I have no need to go there again. My memories of her are with me, she is with Christ, where I too will be there someday. If you find you are really able to talk with Jesus there and have peace it is up to you. If however you feel you are able to communicate with her there I would not return. That is not of God.
