Subject: Are women allowed to be pastors? |
Bible Note: There are many women Pastors today. Women Pastors have a long history in our country, from the early ehghteen hundreds. I have never been in a church with a woman as pastor. I have a bias that is hard for me to justify. I feel uncomfortable with the idea of having a woman as my pastor. For me I have seem some feminist agenda with women who were in seminary studing to be a pastor. From my view some of the women leaned to excepting a more liberal theology, supporting liberal issues. I do not see homosexuality, N.O.W. as acceptable from a biblical standpoint. I am not saying all women were or are like that. I am just not real sure I would fit in with a church that had a woman pastor. I would if the church had a husband and wife as co-pastors. Perhaps I would go if she were an assistant pastor. I will say I do not believe in men counseling women, or women counseling men. This has crushed many of pastors and marriages. At all costs we need to prevent any hint of wrong doing, and protect each other. I hope this helps. Peace, farout |
