2 | Double Dutch? | Bible general Archive 2 | RJJ | 100617
Greetings mommpbs, thanks for your response, confusing is it not?. The "quote" and its author ect are irrelevant to the question, what is relevant to the question is the manner of its presentation. Is "fancy" words hiding the truth of the gospel or is satan using the modern language to "cloud" the minds of modern man? Also the deeper and harder question was, is there any Scriptural resources to counter this deception of the author of all lies? Clarification pleaseeee, OK, what does Scripture teach? I hope that these posts will demonstrate that we need to show the plain gospel truth in an understandable way. So, lets get simple, for the fools shall confuse the wise!!! SHALOM RJJ. |

3 | Proof of Christ | Bible general Archive 1 | RJJ | 81816
There is only one way to prove Chist, look at so-called doubting Thomas, who also looked for proof. Although he was offered proof by the others who who had meet Jesus, still had to have undenyable proof. So Jesus showed Thomas, and us, the way to prove Him, and that is to have a personel encounter with Jesus. It was not the nail marks or the wound in the side of Jesus, it was the experiece of meeting HIM. We do not have to prove the exsistance of Jesus, we are called to be witnesses. |

Greetings Emmaus, thank you for your response, although I am not a Catholic and can only refer to the information on the net, I feel that I will have to disagree with you. I will concede that the word/name has been dropped, the doctrine remains the same and as the noun limbo is a 13th century word and has no modern translation then why not drop a word that now is thought of as a place rather than a description of a place. A small point but one of great significance. SHALOM RJJ P/s the sites were www.newadvent.org and http://198.62.75.1/www1/CDHN/ccc.html |

Greetings mkm9 and many thanks for your response. I appreciate that this ? has been raised many times and if the Catholic Church can confirmm, as they did in 1992, a doctrine that most Protestants disagree with, what do they state as the answer? To answer with "have faith" is good but in what? the doctrine of Mother Church or Gods word? Remember that authority is given to the Church for interpretation, their doctrine not mine. SHALOM RJJ |

10 | IS there any answers out there? | NT general Archive 1 | RJJ | 98611
Greetings Emmaus, Whether you have it in print or in stone, if you do not read it, then what good will it do? If you can not, or will not, understand English word structure and its usage then we will never understand why the Catholic Church has stopped/dropped using the word limbo. I am not going to nit pick/argue over a word that has changed its nearing over 800 years but I will say look at the root word and that is LIMBUS (Latin meaning BORDER, Date 14 century). I would humbly ask that the reader look beyond the single word and READ the doctrine, which is the Catholic Churches answer to my question BUT I would like to know/discover the Protestant answer to my question. Greetings mkm9, I personly agree with you and SHOUT AMEN. I think that a study of the doctrines of the Catholic Church would open your eyes to the truth of the gospel. BUT I WOULD CAUTION YOU to be sure that you are strong, well grounded in understanding Gods word. SHALOM RJJ. P/s if you do not feel ready then by all means ask the FORUM. |

Greetings Emmaus. Please laugh with me, God LOVES us both, despite our differences. Should Reverend Jim Wright decide to write Right rite, then Wright would write right rite, to which Wright has the right of copyright. Duplicating his rite would be to copy Wright's Right rite, and violate copyright, to which Wright would have the right to right. Right? AMohSL? SHALOM RJJ |
