Hi, Thanks for your response. You see, sometime ago the christian ship"DOULOS" sailed to Malaysia and I bought a few dozens of NIV Bible at a very special price.All these were given away to new converts and some to others for free distribution at their discretion. Now, I have the same urge to do it again but this time the ship is not around the corner.So honestly I do not know whether this urge of mine is from God or it is solely mine. How am I to know? On the safe side , shall I abandon the Idea? Your advice, please. With Love in Christ FytRobert |

Hi, Please accept my apology for not having acknowledged your earlier reply with thanks. To be frank with you,I did not approach the Churches mentioned by you.Because deep inside me, I have a feeling of reluctance and this I believe, is born out of fear that embarrasment will ensue. For your information, I have to-day received a reply in conection with the same subject. The writer asked whether the requirement of Bible is from God or is it solely mine and quoted Mat.15:13.How am I to know this urge of mine to distribute the Bible free of charge to new converts is from God or itis solely mine. Your advice please. With Love in Christ. FytRobert |

Hi, Thank you for your reply and after having digested what you have written I am not so happy to say that my enthusiasm to proceed with the project is on the decline. It is discouraging to note that before we proceed to do any good deeds for the Lord we have to: 1.determind God's will. How to go about this? 2.confirmation from the Holy Spirit.In what form the confirmation will come? 3.confirmation through prayers. In what form the confirmation will come? 4. etc..etc.etc. The project may be left in abeyance indefinitely pending the above confirmation.So,no project can be scheduled according to time requirement. Your comments please. With Love in Christ. FytRobert |

Hi, Yes, I did give the impression that I appear to be relatively new believer in Jesus but in actual fact,I knew Him as a casual friend some time ago and called on Him infrequently. only of late,I have a desire to know Him more in depth and to study His way of life and His characters. Yes, I shall be patient so that I may experience God's blessing--as suggested by you. With Love in Christ. Fytrobert |

Hi, You have a caring heart and I consider myself fortunate to have acquainted with you.No doubt,I need advice and direction whilst travelling along this new road[to jesus] I have chosen. Could it be that God has spoken to you about me? So far God has not spoken to me yet.Maybe I am still a baby to Him- He tickles me and make fun out of me. If this is the case, I want to grow up[in Him]fast. Thanking you in advance for your determination to continue praying for me. By the way what are you praying for?[I mean- for my health-for my progress in my search for the truth and etc,etc,] With Love in Christ FytRobert. |

Hi, Thank you for your reply. Honestly,I did not anticipate an answear saying that God is also the creator of sin. I was given to understand that everything that is good comes from God and Satan is responsible for everything that is bad.For my reference,can you please qoute the relevant verse in the Bible where it says that God is the creator of sin. I am a bit perturbed when I refer to your personal profile where you said.."I further do not believe a true christian can/will drink..." In this connection, I remember having heard a story about Jesus converting a few jars of water into the best wine for His guests at a wedding party.You see, I love to have a mug of beer after a game of golf just to freshen-up and I also enjoy a glass or two of gin and tonic at social functions. I am trying to be a true christian, so which direction should I turn to? With Love in Christ FytRobert |

Hi, Thank you for all that you have written but I have yet to digest them. Defending alcohol consumption is far from my mind. In fact, I have been searching for a winwin situ ation where I can make use of drinks with low alcohol content for health reasons and yet stay within the will of God. All medical doctors in the world now confirmed that one or two drinks of wine will do the heart good.Besides, Jesus made the best wine for His wedding guests many ofthem were drunk then, I would be grateful if you could comment in particular on the last sentence. Hoping that I may be able to make good use of your comments when confronted in a similar situation. With Love in Christ. FytRobert |

20 | Searching for the truth | John 10:30 | FytRobert | 98238 | ||
Hi Ray, Thanks for your response and you have quoted John 10:30 Jesus said " I and the Father are one" I have also read the three preceding verses and I now append hereunder my perception. John10:30 "I and the Father are one" This verse by itself would superficially convince one and all that Jesus and the Father are one and the same Person/Spirit/God.But in order to have a better understanding of the message that this verse intend to convey,it is necessary to refer to the context that Jesus was talking about in the preceding verses.Jesus was narrating about how He and His Father were caring,guarding and protecting the sheep.In this context, Jesus and the Father are one- of one mind sharing the same caring and loving thought. But Jesus and the Father are two distinct persons! I stand to be corrected and I invite your invaluable comments. With love in Christ FytRobert |
