1 | where is the (signs) located at | Mark 16:17 | miller521 | 194700
I don't fully undesrtand what you are asking, however this scripture shows you signs that follow those that believe in Jesus. Mark 16:17-18 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. |

2 | Are there any true prophets/prophetss' t | Eph 4:11 | miller521 | 194443
In the book of Acts we see that there were prophets. If they needed them then, we need them now. The Bible does not say that any of that is no longer here today. I don't have a scripture to back that up, but I challenge anyone to find a Scripture which says 'Prophets are no longer needed'
3 | The possible hindrance agsinst being use | 2 Cor 8:12 | miller521 | 194380
I would have to direct you to 1 Cor 12:4-11, here we see from the scripture that the Holy Spirit will divide gifts to every man as he wills. Gifts of healing, gift of faith, gift of tongues and all the other gifts that are used during a worship service as we call it today. The Spirit divides these gifts, however, the only hinderence I can see from scripture is to not believe on the name of Jesus Christ, and recieve total immersion into the Holy Ghost according to Acts chapters 1 and 2. Jesus said in Acts chapter 1 that the immersion into the Holy Ghost would bring power. And its that power, that allows us to operate to our fullest extent in the gifts of the Spirit. God can use anyone, even those who haven't been immersed into the Holy Spirit, but you can think of it as anyone can drive a car, but some cars, have more power, and can acomplish much much more. So in other words my thoughts would be to say that disobedience would have to be the only thing that can hinder us from serviing God. |

4 | Can satan hear our thoughts? | 1 Cor 2:11 | miller521 | 194287
Hey David, welcome to the Kingdom. I would have to say that I do not beleive Satan can read your thoughts. I do realize that he can inject thoughts into your mind, we are to cast down those vain imaginations and evey thought that exalts itself against the knowledge of God 2 Cor. 10:5 So no, I don't believe he can read our thoughts, but he does try to persude us, and make us think what he wants us to. HOpe this helped, Mitch |

5 | halloween | Bible general Archive 4 | miller521 | 194282
Michael, If you feel its wrong to participate in Halloween, then by all means you should not. If we do not listen to the Holy Spirit speaking to us and instead let others make decisions for us, then you will not make it very far. I to do not like most of halloween, my church has a thing they call Harvest Blast, the kids get to come and play games, and its a big family get together. Its free of all that scary stuff such as witches and ghosts and goblins. It doesn't really matter what others say, they might think you are cruel. I have family members who can't understand taht I refuse to lie to my children and tell them about Santa, but I chose to set a good example for them. I know it can get rough when others criticize your way of parenting, however just remember, God has allowed you to raise your children, don't take that for granted. Stand your ground brother. |

6 | Should the church promte make up? | 1 Tim 2:9 | miller521 | 194230
Well first off, I don't see why the church needs to hand out free make up packs in the church. If they are trying to make some women feel that they need the makeup in order to serve Jesus Christ, then they are simply wrong. However, if we are to read the passage you used, it is not saying that there is something wrong with gold and pearls. It is the theme throughout much scripture that nothing can be above God in your life. If the pearls are more important to have on than being in Church and praising God, then there is an issue. But if a woman or man for that matter is wanting to present themself to their God and they want to look beautiful in doing so, we have no right to say anything negative about it. I mean if we take scripture out of context you can look at verse 8 and say that men can only pray while lifting up holy hands. But that would certainly mean a lot of us have broken that rule wouldn't it? So again, God is not against make up and earrings, he is a God of the heart, its what in your heart that concerns him. |

7 | Can't we live like the early disciples? | Mark 6:8 | miller521 | 194229
I would have to say that the book of Acts is our best example of how they lived. There is no mandate that we MUST sell our posessions and combine then so that everyone is equal, however I have read articles, and I'll try to find one and post it back for you, about places where they are doing that. Not here in the U.S. but its alaways wonderful to hear the stories of missionaries who travel outside our nation and how they see the Gospel being demonstrated. But we should look to the so called 'early' church, and see how they acted. From the first chapters where Christ told those born again men and women that they could not even be his witness without recieving the baptism in the Holy Ghost, to Paul knowing he will lay down his life for the Gospel. The book is something which we should continue today, we should be doing the same things as they did, partciularily when it comes to those mandates that Jesus Christ himself gave, such as heal the sick and cast out devils. So I assume the best answer to the question is to Seek God first, and his his way of being right, and when you put his Word as first place in your life, living by the commandment of Love, you can begin to expereicne the same kind of life that the early church had. |

8 | getting a tattoo and is this a sin? | James 4:17 | miller521 | 194048
I don't see that there is scripture that applies for us today that tells us if a tatoo is sinful or not. You need to seek God on this matter, I can't find a scripture that will tell you yes or no. Sorry brother. |

9 | Explain Mark 11 | Mark 11:1 | miller521 | 193986
I think you might need to ask a more specific question, which part of the Chapter do you have a question about? Is there a particular verse?
10 | God allowing things in our lives | 2 Tim 3:16 | miller521 | 193834
I've never found a scripture in the Bible which teaches that God sends problems on us over and over again until we learn our lesson. God does not use problems to teach us a lesson, His Word says in 2 Tim 3:16 that the Word will teach us. God does everything though his Word.
