1 | No obedience necessary? | Acts 2:38 | imuvhim | 79985
OBEY the gospel is biblical. The verse you quote is correct to say that only obeying ones are saved. Peter taught the important nature to obey for salvation. 1 Peter 4:17 says, "For it is time for judgment to begin with the household of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God?" What do Peter mean by this except that it will be a bad day for those who don't obey the Gospel. Clear to see one needs to obey. |

2 | imuvhim, specify what I 'm don't answer. | Acts 2:38 | imuvhim | 79984
Good, you do not deny water is in Acts 8. We agree that water baptism is the pattern. You are right. Jesus don't seem to be baptizing himself, but Jesus baptized in river through his disciples. That's easy to see. Let me say again the point. This is logic, but not human logic. Here is why sprinkling don't fit. It follows that if a sinner is immersed that he is washed. It does not follow that a sinner when washed is also immersed. The word baptism means immerse. So the only act that is acceptable for obedience is immersion. |

3 | imuvhim, What is His baptism? | Acts 2:38 | imuvhim | 79471
Hi, Did Philip obey Jesus in Acts 8? I think so. The Bible don't say they went down into the Holy Spirit, they went down into water. Do you not know that Christians get baptized into water? If you don't know that Jesus baptized in water Jordan then you are mistaken sorry to say. Stronges says on baptism ---- "used only (in the N. T.) of ceremonial ablution, especially (technically) of the ordinance of Christian baptism:" That tells that you are wrong. Don't misunderstand because I'm not one of those works people. My pastor said works aren't important. To get eternal life you don't do nothing. You don't have to do a thing like Abraham who was a Believer. Abraham didn't get baptized did he? Sorry to say no. But if Jesus told him to I bet he would. That's my opinion. |

4 | Are all sins equal and delt with the sam | Matt 5:28 | imuvhim | 79449
Hi, Looks like one is worse than another. One is in the heart and the other is in the flesh. Paul said, "every other sin is outside the body." But since everybody sins it doesn't matter because you are saved by faith to faith. And that's it. But I don't know much more. imuvhim |

5 | Could this be right? | Acts 2:38 | imuvhim | 79312
Disciplerami, Why do you post this? Do people say baptism is not about water? They are wrong. I know Jesus baptized with water and He commaded immersion in what is called 'the great commission' but you don't command any other kind of baptism (Holy Spirit), right? imuvhim |

6 | Taleb, was this verse fulfilled in 70 AD | Matt 24:14 | imuvhim | 79018
Searcher, Do you think that all the Bible was fulfilled in 70a.d.? I don't, at least I hope not. I don't think that would be good. I'm want to go to heaven. imuvhim |
