1 | scriptures on how and why to prayto buil | Bible general Archive 1 | galatians220 | 88058
In I Timothy 2:1-7 Paul writes to Timothy the four ingredients of prayer: 1.) Supplication- asking for needs, 2.)Prayer-this suggests worship and adoration, 3.)Intercessions-requests on the behalf of others, 4.) Giving of thanks-being thankful for who He is and what He has done. You can mention that keeping a prayer journal is helpful in seeing how God has worked in your life in the past and be encouraged in each trial you go through. Both first and second Timothy are full of encouragement for the young, new pastor. You can glean riches from these sacred passages that will not only help you in your ministry but bless you.
2 | do we have any free will? | Bible general Archive 1 | galatians220 | 88056
God did not make hell for humans, and you are right, it was created for satan and his angels, the 1/3 of heaven who fell with him. We chose to sin because our old nature still wants to come back and rule our lives. When we were sinners , we had no choice but to sin: there was no hope for eternal life in heaven for us. When we accepted God's precious gift that his Son allowed us access to through the cross, our old nature was washed away. We still have the free will that we were born with, but now we have the capability to do good, because we have the Holy Spirit living inside of us. So we stll choose to sin sometimes, bu when we fall, we have our Heavenly Father there to pick us up again and forgive us.

Take a look at Jesus' lineage in Matthew 1. You can follow it and see what tribe he was from , and all the notorious(or embarrasing) ancestors he had.
