1 | EXPLAIM CHAPTER 3 VERSE 5 | John | g3ills | 102605
Nicodemus asks can he enter a second time into his mothers womb and be born a second time. Jesus responds with "Except a man be born of the water" (of woman) "and of the Spirit" (of God) "he cannot enter the kingdom of God." The answer to your question is found in John 3:4,6 Notice how He follows up with verse 6 saying, "That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit." compare with these scriptures and see if it helps. The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven. (1Cor.15:47) Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. (1Cor.15:50) Hopfully it helps. peace, g3ills. |

2 | What Sin? | John | g3ills | 102588
The Word teaches that there is no sin that Jesus did not die for. Therefore there is no sin that is gone unpaid for by the blood of Christ. You are correct that we all have sin of some sort, and the scripture that you quoted (1John 1:8,10)simply tells us that if we say these things, the Truth is not in us. As v6 tells us that if we say that we have fellowship with Him and have a lifestyle of walking in darkness, we lie and do not the truth. I think that the sin of unbelief will be the sin that will cause you to lose out on salvation. But that would be a person that is not in Christ. For a person who is born again, to sin, will not cause him to lose his salvation because we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the rightous. (1John 2:1-2) Jesus is our rightousness, we do not stand in this grace in which we stand because of or in our own rightousness, but that of Christ's. He is our atonement. This doesn't give us a license to go out and do what we please because Jesus has already paid the price but... "if any man sin"... These are just my thoughts, though small, I think that if you read khuck's answer to 1-heavenbound question "Are you once saved always saved", you would get a good answer to your question, I think. peace to you, g3ills |
