tetelestai46, May I suggest Josh McDowell's book "New Evidence That Demands a Verdict". This is a compilation of 'Evidence 1 and 2' that is fully updated. Published by Nelson. It's available in most Christian Book Stores or, they can order it for about 25--30 dollars. Excellent book. dennis |

3 | Unforgivable sin | Romans | ava4 | 66195
Henri, I believe that the blasphemy is regarded as the rejection of the Holy Spirit which, in the final analyses, is tantamount to rejecting God Himself. We dare not take the view that God, Christ Jesus and the Holy Spirit are so separated in any way that we can reject the One without rejecting All. We are dealing with the Trinity, or triune God. If I reject Christ Jesus I cannot be forgiven my sins and I remain lost and separated from the Father into eternity. Similarly, if I reject the Holy Spirit I reject His gift of grace freely given. I hope I've written clearly enough to be of help. If not I will try again. yours in Christ, dennis |

4 | Are some sins greater than others? | Romans | ava4 | 66191
Hi henri, I would have to say that the sin described in the book of Mark chapter 3 verses 28 and 29 reveal the only unpardonable sin listed in the Bible. Since it is unforgivable it would have to be the worse, or most grievious sin man can commit. verse 28 Jesus speaking; " I tell you the truth, all the sins and blasphemies of men will be forgiven them. But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of an eternal sin." Translation; New International Version. may God bless your day, dennis |

7 | Do you have a Prodigal in your family? | John 13:35 | ava4 | 65342
Hi again justme, Sadly for my family I was the Prodigal. They could have used the book you mention. I know my mother shed many tears over my mis- conduct. She is gone now and it has become my turn to shed tears for the pain I caused her to suffer. My wife and I also had a Prodigal who ultimately brought us soul shattering pain by commiting suicide nearly four years ago. It was only by God's grace and great undying love for my wife and I that we are able to share. If Ruth Graham' book is all that you say it is I join with you in recommending it to anyone with children. You may not have need of it in your own family but, it might help you understand the pain your neighbor is experiencing and open your heart in support of their trial. It's so important to reach beyond our own walls. I'm going to buy the book for even more understanding. Thanks for the recommendation justme....Dennis |
