1 | is salvation free to all men | John 3:16 | Romans10.9-10 | 196144
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."(KJV) key word to your question is "whosoever," there is no limitation there. All one must do is believe. So, yes salvation is free to all men.
2 | who are the elect of god | Col 3:12 | Romans10.9-10 | 196133
Col 3:12 - "Put on" - "as the elect of God" - As the principal design of the apostle was to show that God had chosen the Gentiles, and called them to the same privileges as the Jews, and intended to make them as truly his people as the Jews ever were, he calls them the elect or chosen of God; and as the Jews, who were formerly the elect, were still beloved, and called to be holy, so he calls the Colossians beloved, and shows them that they are called with the same holy calling. |

3 | why are we told to work | NT general | Romans10.9-10 | 196128
He judges us and all men according to the deeds, not station or race. "...the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work..."(1 Peter 1:17) The unjust and the holy shall each be rewarded according to his works. "And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.("Rev 22:12) "but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed."(James 1:25) The work of the Lord is obedience to his holy word; every believer in Christ is a workman of God. He that works not, to bring glory to God and good to man, is not acknowledged as a servant of Christ; and if he be not a servant, he is not a son; and if not a son, then not an heir. And he must not only work, but abound in that work; ever exceeding his former self; and this, not for a time, but always; beginning, continuing, and ending every act of life to God’s glory and the good of his fellows. "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord." (1Co 15:58) |

4 | Who Women of the bible and stories | Bible general Archive 4 | Romans10.9-10 | 195896
Greetings G.W. Jackson May I suggest the book "All the Women of the Bible" by M.L. del Masro. "All the Women of the Bible" is divided into two sections: "The Book of Names" and "The Book of Stories." "The Book of Names" opens the book and contains over 400 entries. It is a biographical dictionary and thesaurus of sorts, listing each woman - whether named, unnamed, or allegorical - along with a short description of her life, alternate spellings, biblical citations where her story can be found and cross references to other dictionary entries. Your Dear Friend In Christ. David |

5 | a name above all names | Ex 15:3 | Romans10.9-10 | 195594
"a man of war" this name has on this occasion a special fitness: man had no part in the victory, the battle was the Lord's. I normally wouldn't refer any to any other Bible but the KJV, but for this one I will make an exception. In the NIV it reads "The Lord is a warrior." The Lord is a man of war - Perhaps it would be better to translate the words, Jehovah is the man or hero of the battle. As we scarcely ever apply the term to any thing but first-rate armed vessels, the change of the translation seems indispensable, though the common rendering is literal enough. Besides, the object of Moses was to show that man had no part in this victory, but that the whole was wrought by the miraculous power of God, and that therefore he alone should have all the glory. 6 | I need an understanding. | Lev 10:7 | Romans10.9-10 | 195584
Dear Melissa In response to Lev. 10:6-7 they were not to go away from the door (the entrance or court of the tabernacle), to take part in the burial of the dead, lest they should die, for the anointing oil of the Lord God was upon them. The anointing oil was the symbol of the Spirit of God, which is a Spirit of life, and therefore has nothing in common with death, but rather conquers death, and sin, which is the source of death (cf. Lev_21:12). In response to Lev. 10:8-11 the priests were not to drink wine or other alcoholic beverages before going into the tabernacle. If their senses were dulled by alcohol, they might repeat Nadab and Abihu's sin and bring something unholy into the worship ceremony. In addition, drinking would disqualify them to teach the people God's requirements of self-discipline. Drunkenness was associated with pagan practice and the Jewish priests were supposed to be distinctively different. "That we may put difference between holy and unholy" - This is a strong reason why they should drink wine nor strong drink, that their understanding being clear, and their judgment correct, they might be always able to discern between the clean and the unclean, and ever pronounce righteous judgment. with love, David |

7 | What does Luke 16:9 mean? | Luke 16:9 | Romans10.9-10 | 195236
Through much prayer and research I have come up with this. "mammon" are designed riches, wealth and substance. Jesus called the mammon "mammon of unrighteousness," becarse such wealth is often unrighteously detained, and is not made use of to right and good purposes, by the owners of it; or because, generally speaking, it is possessed by unrighteous men; and, for the most part, used in an unrighteous manner (study the story of Zacchaeus, he gains mammon by means of unrighteousness). Well by all and all, We must use possession and money in a way that promotes God's interests and the salvation of others. If we use our money to help those in need or to help others to find Christ, our earthly investment will bring eternal benefit. When we obey God's will, the unselfish use of possessions will follow.
