1 | disciplerami, how do we keep salvation? | Heb 6:6 | David F | 75682
Hello, losing salvation is a very strong statement. I say this because it's not just turning away from God to try to live our own lives apart from Him. In this scripture Heb.6:6 it talks about nailing Jesus to the cross all over again. So for us to lose our salvation or well what did the people who crucified Jesus on the cross do to Him. They did more than turn away from Him. They cursed Him, spit on Him, beat Him, and forcably pushed Him away. So I think we have to take some strong steps to lose salvation, but once we're there I don't think it's a matter of Him forsaking us when we've already so strongly forsaken Him. We make the choices of which way to walk. Hope this brings some clarity.
2 | Is accepting Christ as my saviour enough | Luke 23:40 | David F | 71378
Hello, just receiving Jesus as Lord and Savior is enough. Look at the thief on the cross. But God has plans for us, to grow us in Him and to be His hand here on earth. So Jesus is all we need! I'm not sure though which scripture you're refering to cause there isn't a Matt.3;19-20.
3 | Did God know Abraham feared him before h | Rev 3:15 | David F | 66190
Greetings in Jesus, Yes God knows all thing, but it seems in this case it's more a question of our free will because ultimately the option is left up to us and He wants to know exactly where and how we stand. On Gen.6:6 this is just a thought, but I wonder if God was simply thinking that man would wnat more to follow Him or to He was grieved that He had to destroy His greatest creation(man). If you think about it the saddest day for Jesus was not when He died on the cross and bore all our sins, but probably it's when Jesus has to tell a great number of men and women "go away from me for I never knew you"(Matt.7:23) and cast into the lake of fire. So gives all of us a choice. We just have to choose. Hope this helps. God bless. |

4 | Do I have god's pl fpr a dovprce | 1 Cor 7:39 | David F | 66144
Hello ma'am, I understand this can be a touchy subject. Scripturally though 1 Cor.7:39 does say what it says, but also Jesus does give grounds for divorce or possibly whether or not to take someone back how ever you look at it, it's in Matt.19:8-9. What it boils down to is what is God telling you to do in this case. Let the Holy Spirit guide you in this and it will work out for the better. I hope this helps. God bless.
5 | people take root not (GOD WORD | Matt 13:24 | David F | 66058
Hello again, it seems that God's word will take root in people when it's received with the right heart or motive. That is one of the reasons why Jesus spoke in parables. But God's word touches at all levels. Just like seeds being planted, they just need watering to flourish in a persons life.
6 | the seed are people in types of belief | Matt 13:24 | David F | 65830
Hi, I hope this might help. The people on the rocky ground seem to me the ones who receive the message intellectually. It's not a heart thing but a head thing. So it can't really impact our life the way it should and take root in our lives to make a difference. Therefore, we become like the double-minded man being tossed to and fro like the waves of the sea mentioned in James 1:6-8. Again, I hope this helps.
7 | Is smoking a sin? | 2 Pet 2:19 | David F | 56172
I don't think it's exactly a sin but look up these scriptures and ask God to give you strength. He gives us a free will, God's word says we can either add to our days or we can take away from our days, I don't remember the address to that scripture but it couples together well with this one--1 Corinthians 6:19-20
8 | Preaching-How? | Acts 5:42 | David F | 53434
It can be, it wouldn't hurt at all. It's great fellowship. It is happening in other countries where persecution is heavily going on. It might have to start going on here if well, this thing of taking God out of the "Pledge of Allegance" takes affect. That's just crazy ain't it. God bless |

9 | goodness and kindness? | Gal 5:22 | David F | 53363
Just a thought, maybe "goodness" is meaning more of an action kind of thing like doing something with a good attitude.(Phill.2:14) Now for "kindness" it's more heart-felt like expressing feelings toward someone or just listening. Hope this helps! David |

10 | post resurrection accounts | NT general Archive 1 | David F | 53212
Be careful not to chase rabbits. Just because it might not make sense or add up doesn't mean it's not the truth. God will give you understanding. Just seek His face (Jer. 29:13).
11 | Avoiding paritality in soul care | James 2:1 | David F | 53194
The Pharisees saw Jesus hanging out with sinners and outcast kind of people. So they asked why he's hanging out with them. What did Jesus tell the Pharisees? "A doctor does not visit those that are well, but he sees those that are sick and in need of help." So it seems to me that it's not partiality but compassion.
