Bible Question: I've always understood that God knows all things. I wonder why he told Abraham "for now I know that you fear God" Gen. 22:12. Or why would He be sorry about something if he knew it was going to happen. Gen. 6:6. |
Bible Answer: Greetings in Jesus, Yes God knows all thing, but it seems in this case it's more a question of our free will because ultimately the option is left up to us and He wants to know exactly where and how we stand. On Gen.6:6 this is just a thought, but I wonder if God was simply thinking that man would wnat more to follow Him or to He was grieved that He had to destroy His greatest creation(man). If you think about it the saddest day for Jesus was not when He died on the cross and bore all our sins, but probably it's when Jesus has to tell a great number of men and women "go away from me for I never knew you"(Matt.7:23) and cast into the lake of fire. So gives all of us a choice. We just have to choose. Hope this helps. God bless. |
