2 | can a woman lead a church | Bible general Archive 1 | DTikus | 82603
Every one is expected to spread the word of god. But it is made clear that woman is to remain submisive to man. Man is expected to take a lead role and care for his family and bring them the word of god. Any church that allows female pastors has succomed to the modern guise of "political correctness" and as such has fallen away from what god intended. In short NO, women should not lead men, therefore women can not lead a church. :) (NIV) 1 Corinthians 14 33For God is not a God of disorder but of peace. 34As in all the congregations of the saints, women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. 35If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church. Isaiah 3 11 Woe to the wicked! Disaster is upon them! They will be paid back for what their hands have done. 12 Youths oppress my people, women rule over them. --(this is a negative referance) O my people, your guides lead you astray; they turn you from the path. 13 The LORD takes his place in court; he rises to judge the people. |

3 | Why do we pray if God already knows all | Bible general Archive 1 | DTikus | 82601
Because god wants you to. Matthew 6 (NIV) Prayer 5"And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. 6But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. 9"This, then, is how you should pray: " 'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, 10your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. 11Give us today our daily bread. 12Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.[1] ' 14For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. |
