It's a tough one,I mean to be under such authrity. A few months ago I was in a simular situation. So, being that I was married and my husband wanted to stay. I didn't feel my pastor's ugodly behavior was worth quarreling over with my husband, and causing marrital division. So I prayed for my husband to see the truth. He did, and we left after 17 years. I confronted the pastor, it didn't seem to do any good. I felt I had exausted what I was to do. Then we were called to another church. I was supprised how this church fit better. But again, God knew better than I, what was best. Hebrews 13:7 Remember those who rule over you, who have spoken the word of God to you, whose faith follow, considering the outcome of their conduct. Many would say this means; thank the people who have ministered to you. And watch what they are blessed with. But I think God was giving us a warning, if needed. Because in the next verse Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. The warning part I would say: if the ones over you are preaching any thing but Christ, you will know by there fruit. The way they live will catch-up with them. Just as Jesus said, do as the Pharisees say, not as they do. In your situation I would ponder this thought: you will be judged by what you put over you. In the garden of eden the first act of being judged by -what you put over yourself happened. This is how: God said you can have anything in the garden except don't take of this tree-the tree of good and evil. Of course the serpant Satin convinced Eve and Adam by lies to eat it. Now as soon as they ate the forbidden fruit, they were considered followers of Satan. Why was that? Beleif is the truest form of worship. That is why you cannot please God with unbelief. You either believe God, or you don't. And if you are not believing God who are you believing? First you are believing a lie. Who is the father of lies? Satan! Who then did they put over themselves? Who did they believe? I'm not saying because the pastors wife is living a life of sin you will be judged as she. But I would think about praying for the sinner, and whoever else is involved. If the sin was done against you, forgive them. Remember: you will be forgiven as you forgive those who trespass against you. Vengance is mine saith the Lord...He dose not leave room for you to hold on to anything here. If your having trouble forgiving, ask for God's help. Scripture says, God cannot work in the situation until you give it up.God can't even start healing the injured untill forgiveness is given. Be careful, you will be judged by others, as you judge others. In a church enviroment we are to go and address the sinner 1 to 1. Remember we are to do all things in love. If that doesn't work bring another from church with you. Then if the situation continues bring it to the board. If things don't change then look the rest up in the scriptures. I seem to not be able to find the exact scripture. Sorry. If the pastor is aware of his wives sin, and your sure it is not something he agrees with. Pray for him and his family. God works things for the good of those who love Him. But, if the pastor defends his wive's sin, as not being sin. And you know it is. I'd question-do I think I will be taught the truth by this man. When in marrital problems sometimes we are blind. I think pastors are no different. But after a time we all have to face the truth. Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to minister to you. Do all that is said in the word, pray for peace and follow it in your decision making |

Jesus is the rock to which your foundation should be built on. So, if you have done that; Romans 10:9, or in other words, asked Jesus into your heart to be your Lord - over your life and, savior of your soul. Point I'm trying to make - Jesus is also called a stumbling block to those who try to understand His word/bible without being so to say in the club. That said, it is not saying you need a decoder ring to start reading the bible. But what you read will be more blessing than curse. Try the "one Year Bible". You read once a day and at the end of the year you will have read the whole bible. Every day has old and new testiment with proverbs readings. The readings start Jan. 1st so now would be a great time to start. I would also suggest to get a pictoral childrens bible that has the bible stories new and old put into storey form.It will be interesting and put you right up there with most people's understanding at church. Be patient with yourself when you read. If you don't understand as you read somehow it will make sense. You'll have times at church or, listening to others when you'll go-thats what that meant. Scriptures say God will give you wisdom if you ask for it. Pray for it. Remember God is not a liar so, if you don't understand right away don't cast judgement as to the meaning. And if what you are reading or hearing doesn't seem to line up with what you believe or have heard. It isn't God who is wrong.God is a good God, and loves us all keep believing in his goodness and ask for the wisdom to understand. Do you know what true understanding is? It is standing under God with all you are, to get all He has. Be patient He has alot to give. He wants you to prosper in all things.3 John 2, I think. I would rather be a fool in the eyes of man than a fool in the eyes of God. A fool is someone who knows the word of God and doesn't do it. Wisdom is more precious than gold, its what gets you the gold. God is the only one with wisdom. Ok, He made the wisdom and it is for all to have. And if you believe in Him you will have it. When I say believe in Him I mean: learn of Him as you are but, go for the whole God. do not let any one convince you He is anything less than his word says. always take God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit at their word. Even if your faith might not be as high as Gods word. keep believing and hearing and soon your faith will catch up with the word. |
