Deut 4:24 For the LORD your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God. Why???? Deut 29 14"I make this covenant and this oath, not with you alone, 15but with him who stands here with us today before the LORD our God, as well as with him who is not here with us today 16(for you know that we dwelt in the land of Egypt and that we came through the nations which you passed by, 17and you saw their abominations and their idols which were among them--wood and stone and silver and gold); 18so that there may not be among you man or woman or family or tribe, whose heart turns away today from the LORD our God, to go and serve the gods of these nations, and that there may not be among you a root bearing bitterness or wormwood; 19and so it may not happen, when he hears the words of this curse, that he blesses himself in his heart, saying, "I shall have peace, even though I follow the dictates[1] of my heart'--as though the drunkard could be included with the sober. 20"The LORD would not spare him; for then the anger of the LORD and His jealousy would burn against that man, and every curse that is written in this book would settle on him, and the LORD would blot out his name from under heaven. Heb 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He (Jesus) will judge the believer and unbeliever. The same Jesus that showed us what love really is will destroy and ignore their plies of the wicked at the end. Luke 12:4-5 "And I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him! |

4 | big-bang theory | Bible general Archive 1 | borgain | 66611
Hi "By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible" Heb 11:3 So, something visible or know to mankind did not start the creation. If it was then we will, have to use it as a foundation of how we do things here on earth. 1) Say we want to build a house:- take all that you want to put in/on your house, the bricks, windows, doors etc. on one spot. 2) But on a lot of explosives, to make a big bang. 3) Set the explosives off. 4) And see your dream home is ...... a big hole. So something is missing and we are trying to logicaly explain what happend. We have to be like children, trusting in our Father, that He knows how even if we can not understand nor explain it. Hi tasha Welcome to the forum. The best that we can do to find God's will are the following: Prayer (Jer 33:3) Read our Bibles (2 Tim 3:16 - 17) Witness to others (Mat 28:19) Have fellowship with other born again Christians. There are more to name but these form the first layer we build on our foundation Jesus Christ. Borgain |

6 | If I really don't have money to give. | Num 18:12 | borgain | 58313
Hi Sometimes we forget that God wants 100 percent of us and what belong to us. Did He not give us all we have, anyway? Mat 6 31"Therefore do not worry, saying, "What shall we eat?' or "What shall we drink?' or "What shall we wear?' 32For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. Here, Jesus say if we worry about things we need (have money to buy it) we are like the Gentiles. Mat 19: 21, 22 21Jesus said to him, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me." 22But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions. The less we have to manage, the more time we have to serve God. Some people still believe you have to pay a type of "insurance against fire" premium on a policy that has expired. Anyway a organisation is not God, the people that need it "is", Jesus said if you do it to them you have done it to me. I thank God that I don't have to do anything to please Him, or that He will love me more. GIVE TO GOD WHAT HE LAID ON YOUR HEART. Borgain Matthew 6 1 "Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven. 2Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. 3But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly. |

7 | Is it just I don't wantto know the truth | Deut 5:16 | borgain | 47709
The main problem here might be because of "loneliness", the only Christian in the house. Do you not maybe need people that serve Jesus aswell to talk to and do things with? Do you not maybe need to talk to your parents and ask them to drop you off at a church and pick you up afterwards? (They probably do that when you go to school and outings - so why not to church) And remember that the devil will tempt you to give your parents an excuse not to serve Jesus, because of your actions, but "be" a David he sinned but repented openly, a man God loved dearly because of that. |

9 | Should my kids read Psalms? | Ps 41:10 | borgain | 75104
Hi 1 Sam 13:14 But now your kingdom shall not continue (Saul's). The LORD has sought for Himself a man after His own heart, and the LORD has commanded him to be commander over His people, because you have not kept what the LORD commanded you." David was a man after God's heart, David did not have a religious face. He was a normal human like you and me. He stumble and fell but stood up, repented and loved God with everything he had. This sounds like someone that we can relate to in this day we live. Someone that had enemies, as we have enemies etc. It shows us that there are times in our lives that we call to God with all our problems and how we want to repay them, until the Holy Spirit talks to us and we calm down, and then sound just like David. The same on the other side we can praise God for all His goodness and mercy. Borgain |

Something to consider when disciplining your child is to pray WITH him/her (if they are old enough) about the wrong deed and tell them way its wrong by backing it up with scripture and after disciplining the child tell him/her you still love them and that it is the DEED and NOT the PERSON that you/God dislike. |

11 | sinful to listen to psychic | Jer 33:3 | borgain | 55864
Hi Welcome to the forum PCM. Here are some scriptures about such people. Lev 19:31 Give no regard to mediums and familiar spirits; do not seek after them, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God. Lev 20:6 And the person who turns to mediums and familiar spirits, to prostitute himself with them, I will set My face against that person and cut him off from his people. Does the psychic proclaim Jesus? Under which autority does he/she perform? Jer 33:2-3 2"Thus says the LORD ....: 3"Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know. Borgain |

12 | Never defend myself or others ag. evil? | Matt 5:39 | borgain | 64685
Hi Constantin Eph 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. There can be alot to say about your question, but I just want to (hopefully) give this simple answer. Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. (James 4:7) Stand your ground on your knees and the world will become smaller. So be preprayed, and when you face the situation, let Jesus come thru. Borgain |

13 | Plez read and help me is Marijuana okay | Matt 15:11 | borgain | 45081
Hi Remember Eve in the garden of Eden, what did the devil tell her? Did God realy say that Gen 3:1. So with that in mind, the devil can tell you that God can never create things so evil- which is correct, always the truth first then the lie - but never tells you that he the devil made it corrupt. Then vers 4 the devil said you will surely not die, and in your context there is nothing wrong with it. John 8:44 You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. The Bible states it clear that we must not allow things in the world to control our lifes and minds. Rom 8:5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. There must be a reason for you to use it, and the conviction shown in this question, tells me that the Holy Spirit is already speaking to you about the wrongness of it. 1 Cor 10:12-13 Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall. No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. Remember we are body, soul and spirit. If may not defile the body, but the soul and/or spirit. May the Holy Spirit do the rest. |

14 | On the baptism subject- TITLES? | Matt 28:19 | borgain | 56683
Hi stebert1 To add to your em ....question. Note the "in the" in the verse. This means under the authority of the name i.e from the Strongs 3686 onoma onoma on’-om-ah 1) name: univ. of proper names 2) the name is used for everything which the name covers, everything the thought or feeling of which is aroused in the mind by mentioning, hearing, remembering, the name, i.e. for one’s rank, authority, interests, pleasure, command, excellences, deeds etc. 3) persons reckoned up by name 4) the cause or reason named: on this account, because he suffers as a Christian, for this reason So when we baptize etc we must do it in the Name and not the Person. I hope this put some more fuel on the fire. Borgain |

15 | XMAS RELIGION OR MAN MADE | Luke 2:13 | borgain | 61669
Hi This is a real problem and if we put some of todays christains next to "non-christains", do we see a difference? They speak the same things, do the same things etc. The christians might visit a "church" more often then the other. Unfortunately some christians, learned to become christians and never met Jesus. Then you might find those way out Christians (that lost it), that don't believe in these holidays, because of 1 Cor 11 : 23 - 26 and other scriptures, (and the conviction by the Holy Spirit) 23 For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; 24and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, "Take, eat;[2] this is My body which is broken[3] for you; do this in REMEMBRANCE of Me." 25In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in REMEMBRANCE of Me." 26For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death till He comes. And then the "we don't want to lose" our members issue, because that won't look good in our register and finances....... We are whom we serve, we do the same things, speak the same ideas. Borgain |

16 | Can I remarry and be forgiven by god | Luke 7:47 | borgain | 72514
Hi Read Luk 7:36-50 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. I believe you can be forgiven, by the repentance of your sin. Which means, to admit it, believe Jesus can/will for give you, and to confess it and ask Him for forgiveness. A repented person will turn 180 degrees around and never do "that" again. You also have to ask your husband and children (because they are also affected by our wrong choices sometimes) for forgiveness. If they don't want to forgive you that's then between God and them (forgive us as we forgive others). And forgive him (your husband), tell him that. And pray pray pray, lest we fall for the temptation that comes our way. Borgain P.S You can also see a born again marriage councilor together, because this forum is more about bible study, that counciling which your family needs. |

17 | Does God or Jesus hear a sinners prayer? | Luke 18:13 | borgain | 53203
Hi Welcome to the forum. Luke 18:9-14 Also He spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: "Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, "God, I thank You that I am not like other men--extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.' And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, "God, be merciful to me a sinner!' I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted." Yes, God do hear a sinners prayer when he repents of his sin and believe that Jesus came to set him/her free and confess it. Jesus came for the lost (Mat 9:13). As easy as ABC A for Admitting he is a sinner, B for Believing that Jesus came to set us free and C for Confessing it. Act 3:19,20 Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name. Thus a father will always hear to his children. Eph 1:7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace. John 9:31 Now we know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does His will, He hears him. So if a sinner repents God wil hear him. Hope this helps |

Hi Luke 20:23-25 23But He perceived their craftiness, and said to them, "Why do you test Me? 24Show Me a denarius. Whose image and inscription does it have?" They answered and said, "Caesar's." 25And He said to them, "Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's." 19 | Is it a sin to run away from home? | John 16:33 | borgain | 46850
These things I have spoken to you, that in Me (Jesus) you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. If we run away from situations in our lives, we have not solved them. We can decide if we are a victim or a conqueror of it. The Bible is clear not to resist man but the devil. To try and teach someone else a lesson by doing something will only have sort lived pleasure/victory. NEVER let feeling run your life. I pray that God will send someone across your path that can pray for you and with you about all your needs. Remember God emergency phone number Jer 33:3 - Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know. |

20 | Where is the Loving God???? | John 16:33 | borgain | 59496
Hi God is a gentleman. If we don't want Him in your schools, goverments, homes, workplace and life's, He will not force Himself in. Things can happen and because of the wall that we build between Him and us, He "can't" help us, because we want to do it first and not alow Him to do it thru us. (Look at the life of Lot) Jesus said, that we will have trouble in the world, and what they have done to Him they will do to those who follow Him. There are to many prosperity preachers, that emphases on the FICTION it will always go well with God's children. Then after a few years people believe it is true, not realizing that it isn't. There also the other side of the coin, testing(growing) of your faith, like Job, Moses, Abraham etc. The natural man does not understand this (and other things), and that is where prayer comes in. (And it is always easier to blame someone else.) Borgain |
