1 | Ex 33:11 contradicts Ex 33:20, Why? | Ex 33:11 | MeLuvYou0627 | 156311
You ever tell someone over the phone "I'm gonna tell you right now in your face"! Face to face is not what we as men say "face to face" If you notice face to face is not in capital letters. Face to face can mean presence to presence or the "outer appearance" of a person. Now in these modern times we think of face to face like, eyes , nose , and mouth face . Back in those days it was not like that. When you search the scriptures you have to ask God to lead you in His understanding and lean not toward your own understanding. Remember God spoke to Moses in a pillar of cloud ,Exodus 33:9 " and the cloud decended and stood at the door of the tabernacle and the Lord talked with Moses" this was presence to presence. Now notice when Moses said " Please show my Your Glory" Exod.33:18. God then said to him .."You cannot see My (notice "my" is capitalized)face;for no man shall see Me and live"Exod.33:20 So it LOOKS like God is contradicting Himself but look again. Moses wanted to see God in all His Glory, Moses had already seen the "Hind or Back" parts of God when he parted the Red Sea . Now Moses wanted to see ALL of God's glory FACE TO FACE but it would have killed him, Moses did not have the proper body to see God in all of His Glory. When we get up every morning we see the glory of God everyday, but we do not die, because when have not seen All His Glory FACE TO FACE. We see the Hind parts of God. Remeber also when you study to look words in the bible up in your dictionary . Sometimes words have several meanings as in the word "face" and don't forget to consider the whole text and try to understand God's word as a spiritual soul first and human later. This is why so many people think the Bible contradicts itself because they think God is not like us, but we were made in His image and we have His likeness. He is not made in our image with our likeness. Happy Bible Study and May God continue to bless you every deed. Dora |

2 | Why jonah chose tarshish? | Jon 1:3 | MeLuvYou0627 | 156295
this is easy because i just read this story this morning. The answer is , because Tarshish is the complete opposite direction. Jonah disliked these people so much until he wanted to get as far from them as he could (like God wouldn't know the exact location of where he was ) Suppose I asked you to eat frog legs and you had to eat them at my house, and you despised frogs. You would not come any where near my house or around it for fear that I might see you or someone that knows me would see you and then I would send for you. Jonah , since back in those days they did not have planes, cabs or trains , took the only transportation out that was going as far as possible away from Ninevah. Maybe he thought God would change his mind and tell him, "Okay Jonah, since your going the opposite direction, you don't have to preach to the people of Ninevah now" That just goes to show you whatever God wants you to do you eventually will do it or death will be your reward. Jonah prayed to God in the belly of the whale and the trip back to Ninevah was a three day trip. However, Jonah made it in one day. Ha Ha , that always tickles me when I hear or read that, because Jonah really wanted to obey God in one of the truest forms. He put some pep in his step, perhaps because Jonah had already lost precious time. Thank God he made up for it, those people in Ninevah really wanted to do what was right.
3 | The dress code of the day? | Matt 22:11 | MeLuvYou0627 | 156300
I believe this parable is about people who are very proud and people who are humble and humble themselves before God Almighty. In IPeter 5:5 it reads "Likewise you younger people submit yourselves to elders". Then it say "Yes, all of you be submissive to one another and be clothed with humility, for God resists the proud But gives grace to the humble". So I would say the people that did not come to the wedding were too proud because they had their own businesses, farms and other things to do and did not think it was so important to be at a King's wedding since they thought they were just as important as the King. But the people that were good and evil (the plain unimportant people that the world pays no attention to, and people that are on drugs , prostitutes, gamblers, drunkards,) These people took great privilege in going to a King's wedding in other words they felt humbled. If right now the President of the United States just walked up to a group of people in the world and asked "Will you come to my dinner tonight"? You would feel honored. Well there are some people that are around the president and have just as much or more money than he does and would not think nothing of turning him down. This is just like in the world today . Some christians think too much of their businesses and possesions to humble themselves before God. But people that don't have a lot of possesions would feel honored by God to be called to the wedding which is the actual "Match Made in Heaven" of man and God. The wedding garment is humility and God gave them the grace to be at His wedding which is the saving of souls. The man that was there was not clothed with humility, thus he was not saved because God resists the proud. Dora |

4 | Who is Luke? | Luke | MeLuvYou0627 | 156297
I believe Luke was one of Jesus diciples. He was, I believe, a doctor of medicine. I find this very interesting because it was good that Jesus had a doctor for a diciple. Luke could testify that the people Jesus raised from the dead were indeed dead. Luke probably could tell if they had fainted or were in a coma or were completely dead. This way the Bible and Jesus could not be mistaked that Jesus truely raised people from the dead. Remember in the Bible Jesus came to one little girl and told them the damsel is not dead but is sleeping. The people around Him laughed, because they just knew she was dead so Jesus sent most of the people out of the room and raised the girl from her coma and told them to give her something to eat. I believe Luke had to verified that when he was in Jesus presence. Some of Jesus diciples were lawyers and taxcollectors too. I believe God allowed this to verify to people exactly what was going on and who Jesus was when He performed the miracles Dora |

5 | Remarried, can I be a deacon ? | 1 Tim 3:12 | MeLuvYou0627 | 156293
If you have been ordained of God to be a Deacon , then you were a Deacon in your mother's womb. God said so many things that today's society is not abiding by. In other words, do what you know God and only God wants you to do regardless of who tries to judge you. Only God is your judge , maybe that is why God said He would judge certain persons. God does not want unwed mothers either , but because of the world and the mess it is in God allows unwed mothers . You are better off being married , than burning in the flesh. I believe God winks at certain situations, and when I say "wink" I mean endures or suffers it to be so. God knew you before you were born and He knew what you were going to get a divorce and still desire to do the work of a Deacon. If this was evil , then God would have taken the desire from you to save you. Jesus is so soon to come and all He desires from us is to be ready. You should know by now what lies in your heart. Keep oil in your lamp. Live Holy, Love Holy , and be happy is my prayer.
