1 | Which spirit does God jealously desire? | James 4:5 | 3rd jon,4 | 146159
I have long had Questions re. this verse, both with the word (S)spirit, and the wishes of a "jealous" God. Does the word spirit refer to our spirit, which He desires to live for/with Him eternally, or does it refer to His Holy Spirit which he has placed within us upon our salvation/ Next; Is it His jealous desire to have back our spirit, which he has created for His pleasure and Glory, or is He jealously protecting His Spirit which He has caused to live in us, or is it His jealous desire to have us recognise, welcome, love, and delight in having His Holy Spirit, dwell with and in us,affecting the changes/growth nesessary to bring us to Glory? |

2 | how does Uzzahs' sin/punishment apply to | 2 Sam 6:7 | 3rd jon,4 | 146143
My question is in regards to one that has been addressed in this forum: Why did God kill Uzzah? The straight and simple answer is of course that, he disobeyed God's command, in regards to touching the Ark. but I would like to go a bit deeper. What exactly was Uzzahs' sin? Was it taking the Holiness of God to lightly, or perhaps compromising God's laws by doing a 'good' or at least reasonable deed, and what would be the application of that action/result, in todays society |
