1 | Is this a Christian Forum? | Bible general Archive 2 | JCrichton | 105297
While searching for Biblical tools I came upon this site. It seemed interesting to me, since I have been searching for answers for many years. My excitement was short lived as I browsed through the forums Show Me section. I notice that the exchange was basically the same as in any other forum where people are mostly interested in ideologies, numerology and intellectualism. I could not believe the open hostility and the brazen superiority displayed in some of the exchange. Is this really a Christian Forum, where is the humility, the thirst for truth, the adhearance to Christs Teachings Matthew 5 1 through 6 15, specifically 6 14,15 James 1 19 thru 22 and 3 13 thru 18.

3 | Why are some people being disrespectful? | Bible general Archive 2 | JCrichton | 119384
I have noticed that some of the people who post on this forum do not capitalize the letter "g" when they are making reference to God... some also use screen names that are either visibly or phonetically demonstrating some type of contempt for the very thing that they are supposedly seeking (Christian enlightenment)... has any body else noticed this?
4 | Are you equating yourself to God? | Bible general Archive 2 | JCrichton | 126133
-Minor, are you claiming to be deity? From your screen name I gathered that you and your father share a name and you do not want to be called Jr. or that you associate yourself with deity... Please do not feel offended if this is a simple misunderstanding.
5 | Why so cryptic? | Bible general Archive 2 | JCrichton | 126688
Hi, instead of posting cryptic questions that do not stand alone well... could these questions not be attached to their pertinent threads or at least amplified so that they could make some type of sense?

7 | Do you need my reply on a past post? | Bible general Archive 2 | JCrichton | 144388
Hi, Ebliblody! Yeah, my computer was being gibberish (dropping and closing windows at will)... I am using a different server (internet) and I changed the email account... There were several topics which were left dangling... I offer my apologies... rather than to post a reply to an old topic, I welcome all who have been left without a reply to drop a note if you wish to see my answer to your queries (the topic/s at leat a month old)... I will resume regular visits later on today... so please do not be surprised or offended if you do not receive a reply to your past post/s... I am not eluding/ignoring your queries! God Bless! Angel PS: Please allow several days before removing, thanks! |

10 | Was there herding on/about December? | NT general Archive 1 | JCrichton | 106853
Hello, Taleb! I just logged on again (was on my way out when I read your post). I do not usually get involved with the dates (was Jesus born 6 BC or 6 AD, etc.) but I found your post most interesting. There has been a counsel about the shepherds being out on our Lord's birht day and some suggest that sheep hearding was not done in late December... Can you clarify this for me? I do not care to prove or disprove them, I'm just curious because you placed the Jewish calander with the Nov-Dec period of our present-day calander. Thansk for the info! Merry Christmas and God Bless! |

11 | 13 Tribes or 12 Tribes? | Genesis | JCrichton | 106432
From Genesis to Revelations there are various names used to represent the twelve tribes of Israel. I did a personal study of the tribes and found that there are thirteen tribes not twelve: in the Old Testament there are various names interchanged; one name or another being excluded/included in the list. And on the New Testament one particular tribe is excluded while the rest are included. Has anyone else seen this fact. Can you explain why, especifically in Revelation, is Dan omitted as one of the tribes?

14 | Is the Holy Spirit a sin-enabler? | Rom 8:13 | JCrichton | 138755
For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, (Romans 8:13) Does Romans 8:13 apply only to unbelievers, atheists, devil worshippers or are Christians accountable to their actions in the sinful nature? Are there minor transgressions that do not violate the premise of this verse: if you live in sin you will die? Are “white lies,” masturbation, homosexuality, adultery, planned abortion, “victimless use of drugs,” wife abuse or “sinning just a little as a preventive measure” the exception to the rule? God Bless! Angel |
