1 | Has The GLORY of the LORD left the USA? | Bible general | justme | 241529
Recently in Kay Arthur's Bible Study, she said she felt the Glory of the Lord has left the United States. After carefully thinking about this subject, I too think the LORDS protection, the US once had, may well be removed. What do you think? |

2 | Has The GLORY of the LORD left the USA? | Bible general | jeremiah1five | 241548
I will say this, and it applies to not just the USA, but the world... In order for darkness to increase the Holy Spirit must withdraw. He is the One that is keeping evil in check. And in order for us to identify the antichrist the Holy Spirit must withdraw His Presence in the world. |

3 | Has The GLORY of the LORD left the USA? | Bible general | EdB | 241551
I like what John MacArthur says on this subject. The phrase taken out of the way must not be interpreted to mean that the Holy Spirit will be removed from the world. That is impossible, since He is omnipresent. Nor could anyone be saved during the Tribulation (cf. Rev. 7:14) apart from His regenerating work (John 3:3-8; Titus 3:5). The phrase refers not to the removal of the Holy Spirit from the world, but rather to the cessation of His restraining work. Excerpt from MacArthur's commentary on 2 Thess. |
