Tomorrow I am planning on giving Junior high sunday school lesson on John 14:1-3. where it talks about don't let your heart be troubled. I go to my father's house to prepare a place for you. I am curious though if those verses can be applied to everyone or if those verses were for the disciples only. I am guessing that Jesus meant He was preparing a place in God's house for everyone(born again believers) and that those verses can be applied to each of us and not just to the disciples. Any comments would be appreciated. | ||||||

Greetings, The verse you have stated is for all believers. God has no less love for the slightest person who believes in Jesus as their own personal Saviour. John 14:1-3 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. God is no respecter of persons. Acts 10:34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: 1 Peter 1:17 And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear: CDBJ |
