thank you all i guess i got the wrong spirit because the understanding i got was that love covers a multitude of sins and if i could save a thousand people by telling a lie i will. not tring to justify telling a lie because God cant lie and all liers will b punished but i truly beleave that God will bless me more for the saving of a thousand than my punishment for the lie

Greetings Walkforchrist! Your logic doesn't make sense my friend! You say: 1) God can't lie. 2) All liars will be punished. 3) But, God will bless you for lying. I have been amazed from these discussions. Doesn't anybody believe that God can save in any other way except through a lie? Is God not able to make the evil men simply drop dead? Isn't God able to transport the potential victims to another place? Isn't God able to stop any physical harm from happening to them? Isn't God able to work in a limitless number of ways through His infinite wisdom and power to save those who need help? Why have we become so fixated on lying as the only possible means that God can use, especially given the fact that God specifically commands us (not suggests or recommends) not to lie? We need a bigger view of God! :-( Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

Brother Tim, May I take a stab at answering the last question in your post? 2Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; It's much easier to rationalize scripture so it teaches that lying is acceptable. Who doesn't like to have their ears tickled and make things easier? Matthew 11:30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Apparently we can’t take Christ at His word. We must try to make it even easier. Justifying our sins to make them acceptable is the easiest way I know to accomplish that. Stand in His grace, WOS |

Just because people happen to disagree with a point of view does not give you the go ahead to judge our motives. You cannot see our hearts so your implication is false. It is very offensive. Please stop.

Val, I've judged nobody. If you have taken offense to my post dear sister, you should search yourself for the reason you took offense. I mentioned no names nor did I imply an individual it was meant for. It was a generic response. My post was to Tim and the answer seemed appropriate. I'll be judged on my words and I'm fine with that. If I've erred, unintentionally for sure, God's grace has me covered. Stand in His grace, WOS |
