Hi Val, It appears like you are really letting this thing beat you up. The next time “she” brings it up, ask her where she thinks this vision of hers might fit in with the revealed Word of God, the Bible? You might want to ask her what her thoughts are with regards to the “finished cannon of Scripture”, or if there is more to come? Paul even warns us about thing outside of God’s written Word. There are forces at work that “can be” within the realm possibility but that doesn’t mean they are all from the Lord. Example: Galatians 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. You might be surprised what some believe in opposition to what the Bible conveys as truth, and the woods are full of them. 2 Cor. 11:13-15 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. You are right it does disturb me when people get off the right track especially someone I know personally. The Lord has given us His word and it is plain and easy to understand. I want to point her back in the right direction without alienating her. I believe she is fragile emotionally. That is why I am hesitant as to how to proceed. I am a pretty bottom line person as most of you seem to be. I believe it will take a lot of wisdom to not say words that might crush her now that she seems to want to pursue God. I know that God is in control of this situation and I rely on Him. I value your expressions and gleen much from them. Thanks Val | ||||||

Hi Val, She is very fortunate to have someone like you that care for her! The safest and best approach is always the Word of the Lord. If you can get her actively engaged in a sound Bible discussion group it would do her a world of good. See what your local churches have to offer in the way of “home Bible discussion groups”. I’m not talking about the standard church setting, as it were, but a small home study setting with sound Bible doctrine. Acts 20:20 And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house, CDBJ |
