I am struggling with my devotionals. I've grown up in a christian home, christian school, and also continuing my education at a christian university. I have been kept in a christian "bubble" which is not necessarily a bad thing. It is just that most devotionals topics have lost their effectiveness. I feel bad but when you have been exposed to christianity as long as I have; the feeling just kind of happens. I am really tired of always talking to God but never hearing Him. My question is simply that I need a devotional topic that will get me into doing research, which will help me dive into God's Word. Does anyone have any good topics? (I love topics that challenge me to think and study) | ||||||

May I also suggest a study on salvation. Many people simplify salvation in many ways but it isn't until we fully study Old Testament and in particular the Blood Covenant that we completely understand salvation. I have studied the Blood Covenant for years and I have found it to be a never ending process. Scripture's pages are literally filled with it. It is like the lyrics of the old hymn; "What can wash away my sin? nothing but the blood of Jesus. What can make me whole again? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. Oh! precious is the flow That makes me white as snow; No other fount I know, Nothing but the blood of Jesus." Do that study and it will keep you busy and who knows you may even develop a relationship with God that allows you to hear His voice. |
