John 19:25 Therefore the soldiers did these things. But standing by the cross of Jesus were His mother, and His mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. John 19:26 When Jesus then saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing nearby, He *said to His mother, "Woman, behold, your son!" John 19:27 Then He *said to the disciple, "Behold, your mother!" From that hour the disciple took her into his own household. I don't see any taunting ... where is the word taunted in the NT? It's in the Old Testament: Psalm 22:6-8 But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people. 7All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head saying, 8He trusted on the LORD that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him. |

God's day to you, CDBJ, Even if we add ... ... Psalm 109:25 I also have become a reproach to them; when they see me, they wag their head. ... Matthew 27:39-44 39 And those passing by were hurling abuse at Him, wagging their heads 40 and saying, "You who are going to destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days, save Yourself! If You are the Son of God, come down from the cross." 41 In the same way the chief priests also, along with the scribes and elders, were mocking Him and saying, 42 "He saved others; He cannot save Himself. He is the King of Israel; let Him now come down from the cross, and we will believe in Him. 43 "HE TRUSTS IN GOD; LET GOD RESCUE Him now, IF HE DELIGHTS IN HIM; for He said, 'I am the Son of God.'" 44 The robbers who had been crucified with Him were also insulting Him with the same words. ... also Mark 15:29-32 I don't "taunt" ... I was looking for the word. Moreover, the passage quoted is not about any harsh words. It was a challenge to the poster, who may not answer either of us. Searcher |

Hi Searcher, Good point! Have you noticed how many never respond with a comment to the answers they are given? Some times I wonder if they really know how when they are presented with the e-mail notice from the forum. Maybe better instructions would be in order if the forum is to keep things rolling? CDBJ |
