Mark: The Pre-wrath position teaches that the ONE second coming (parousia) of Christ will take place sometime between the opening of the sixth and seventh seals of Revelation, which is not the same as knowing the DAY and HOUR. Grace to you, John Thanks! John |

Hi John, This would then seem to mean that Jesus returns prior to the day prophesied in Daniel of when He takes away the authority of the beast, but that requires that we insert a time gap of well over 5 months between Revelation 19:16 and 19:20, which would accomodate the sounding of the trumpets and the pouring out of the bowls. Just speaking for myself, I do not see how the text allows for that. This would also give serious sequential difficulties in placing the trumpets so late in the tribulation. It also brings up the question of why Daniel would have prophesied that "the Ancient of Days" would come after the 3.5 years were over, if in fact He came sooner. (Daniel 7) Just a couple of final thoughts. Love in Christ, Mark |
