I was listening to music from the musical Godspell recently. In the song "All For The Best" one of the lines is "Your mood and your robe are both a deep blue." I was wondering if , back in Jesus' time, some people's robes were colored blue to designate them as poor? I always thought the color blue was a royal color and didn't think they would put it on poor people. I know that in Exodus 28, they made ephods out of blue cloth and they were worn by priests, not poor people. |

Greetings and welcome to the forum. With regards to your question you made the statement, “I was wondering if , back in Jesus' time, some people's robes were colored blue to designate them as poor?” Where exactly is that portion of scripture found; I cant quite put my finger on it?
