1 | Why ethnarchês in 2 Cor 11:32? | Bible general Archive 3 | Dale DePriest | 190032
Is there any good reason to translate 2 Cor 11:32 using the word ethnarchês in the NASB which is a transliteration of the Greek instead of governor or city governor as is done in every other translation? They can't really expect that we would know this word. |

Thanks for the response. I have read that page previously but it does not answer my question. It says that a goal is readable. Using obscure works that need an unabridged dictionary to even find them does not qualify as readable to me. I really like my NASB which I call New Accurate Standard Bible but this particular verse has me stumped since using this word doesn't seem to add anything to the understanding as was changed from the ASV so there must have been a reason that I am not getting.
