Christians meet on Sunday, because they have allways done so from the start, they wanted to do so because our Lord Jesus rose from the dead on that day, ie, on the first day of the week, see Matthew Ch 28. |

Actually Ebrain that's not quite true. Thank you David for your note. The verses you have quoted have nothing whatsoever to do with Christian Believers meeting on the last day of the week. All of them in fact refer to Paul a Jew, taking the Gospel to "the Jews first", which he did when all the Jews living ia a particular locality were all in one place at one time, ie in their Synagogue on the Sabbath. If you read the verses you quote in their context, this will become apparent. Please read 1st Corinthians Ch 16 vs 1-5, and also Acts Ch 20 v 7, which clearly indicates that Belivers met on the first day of the week. This day was also refered to as "the Lord's day", see Revelation Ch 1 v 10. May the Lord bless you, and keep you safe, ebrain. |
