You have it a little mixed up the phrase I think your referring to is, 'God moves in mysterious ways His wonders to perform.' However that isn't in the Bible either. I believe is a verse from a hymn. It has been repeated so many times most people think/assume it is from the Bible. EdB |

EdB: Thank you for getting to the heart of the matter (regarding the original question) and providing us with this factual information. As I said earlier regarding the exact wording that the questioner asked about, it's either in the Bible or it isn't. If it can't be found in any concordance, it's because it simply is not in the Bible. Moreover the original question was not: Where is this concept found in the Bible? It was: Where does it SAY in the Bible: 'the Holy Spirit moves in mysterious ways?' We know what the Bible means by what it SAYS. Grace to you, Radioman2 |

Hi Radioman2, You are right of course. But I am enjoying the Scriptures and the conversation, aren't you? We can continue with Michael Draves' quote in Isaiah. Isaiah 55:9ff, "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, And do not return there without watering the earth, And making it bear and sprout, And furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater; So shall My word be which goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it." From the heart, Ray |
