Scripture states that we should tithe all our "gain." Considering the fact that you are going to pay back a loan, it is not "gain." A gift, or earned interest would be gain, but not something borrowed. The very fact that you asked this question indicates that you are following the right path, that inner voice, the gut feeling, THE SPIRIT. I'd say that you already had a good idea what the correct answer was. If so, learn to follow that Spirit, "walk in the Spirit." You will NEVER go wrong if you do. God Bless |

Hi Saints, May the LORD GOD Jesus Christ be with you all. I sort of psted this question twice. Here is a cut and paste fron the reply from my other post. I agree with Christian as this can be used as a offering unto our LORD Jesus Christ as seed to debt cancellation. After all everything belong to Him wether I borrowed it or not. Jesus Christ owns all the banks, creditors, governments or whatever they may be. Satan is an imposter whose doom as been written down and he know it. I just wanted some wisdom in this from fellow saints. cut from other post --------------------------- Answer: Good question. Personally I believe that anything I receive I received from God, so I would give him a portion of everything I received, but not with hasitation or sorrow. Be glad because you know that He can increase by many/all means. Pray over the portion and make it an offering unto God, let that be the seed to Debt cancellation in your life. Declare that you will no longer be the borrower but the lender. Christian24 --------------------------------------------- GOD Bless you. I personally share your view as well. I regularly tithe with my personal income. I pray to GOD to forgive me if any part of me by asking this question is hesitation(I belive GOD sees my heart that I just want wisdom in this situation. regards, gab ------------------------------------------- Any more explainations will be very welcomed. Through the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ He has enabled be consistently pay tithes and offering from my personal income. I sold my TV a few weeks ago and I paid the tithe on that. Is that wrong or right scriptually. I am just trying to have and gain some wisdom here as the answers I get will be what I will take for the rest of my life. regards, gab |

While I had my small business going, I had a bit of a delima of sorts where "required" tithing was concerned. I started out tithing my gross. then I started studying scripture to see what the Word said. My determination was primarily based on Pr 3:9 Pro 3:9 Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: Pro 3:10 So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine. I'll admit 3:10 made me feel really good, for although some would say that is not why we should tithe, it is still a promice that we can bank on. Although I did not, and do not feel that the Lord expects me to continue to tithe my gross, and considering the fact that my gross includes payment for materials which I purchased in the first place, I have done so since the beginning. As yourself, I feel that anything above and beyond is an offering, and if the Lord blesses me, why shouldn't I spread that blessing. Try as one may, the Lord can't be outgiven. One last thought; Jam 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. So what I do, is not nesssisarily what someone else should do, and vice versa, as long as we are both following the guidelines laid down in scripture and not robbing our Lord with a lack of tithing all together. God Bless George |
