There are so many new "versions" of the bible today. I have always used the King James Version but found it hard to understand. I have crossed referenced NIV and Amplified...however, when you here people "quote" the bible they use the King James Versions...Do I use both to study????

Hello Cannon45, People quote the King James because it is still the most popular and has been around the longest of those currently in use. There is no obligation to use it. My recommendation is to use one version regularly. I prefer more literal translations like NKJV, NASB, and ESV (what I use now). If you like NIV, stick with it and study hard. Steve |

Steve...I was raised using the King James...but do find the NIV, or revised KJ easier. I have been studying by reading the King James then cross referencing with NIV...Does that sound like a good method? Thanks again.
