thank you Emmaus... I have found many of the related topics as you have so pointed out as typology in the scriptures. I have read that such things were as shadows of the things that were to come. The things that stump me are, and I use this for an example, moutains represent governments unless its a specific moutain at which point I can see where it can be both ways. I will look into your web site and check for this book. I just pray that if used in the proper way, this could be of a help to my ministry. thanks again God Bless |

christian7 We have to be careful here putting meanings to things that may or may not hold up to scrutiny. A man name Bullinger loved to assign meanings to numbers but many times his assignments ended up conflicting with other uses of the number. Just as type and shadows does. One such example is Egypt it is very common to say Egypt represents sin. There are many types or shadows of this analogy. However we also see in Matthew 2:15 and was there until the death of Herod, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying, "Out of Egypt I called My Son." We certainly can’t assume that since Egypt is often a type of shadow of sin that God called Jesus out of sin. Be very very careful in trying to assign meanings that the Bible doesn’t clearly state.
