why was the discussion on Rom 9:5 temporarily restricted, just for info purposes this is is what I know. There is 1 God. God is a Spirit John 4:24 In that, 1 God, exists the Father, the Son of God- Jesus Christ *not just Jesus* and the Spirit. These 3 exist as 1 being, not a good choice of words, GOD. Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us. Philippians 2:5-6 Joh_6:46 Joh_7:28-29 Joh_9:33 Joh_17:5 Joh_8:42 Joh_16:30 Joh_16:27 WITHOUT, the Word, HIM was not any thing made that was made Joh 1:3 Something remarkable happened at the baptism of Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit came down from heaven in bodily form of a dove, and lo and behold, it was also here on earth, in John *he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb Luk_1:15 *. Now unless John was making cooing noises, then the Spirit can exist in 2 places at the same time, in 2 forms at the same time. Is not this wonderful. God is a Spirit. Can He exist in more than 2 places at the same time as 2 forms at the same time. Obviously yes. That is the Trinity. God exists as the Father, Jesus Christ *the Son of God* and the Spirit of God |

I think the thread on Romans 9:5 was restricted because it appeared that some harsh words were spoken or on the verge of being spoken. Your problem with the Trinity stems from the fact we are finite humans trying to explain an infinite God. To us to be one but yet three seems to be a contradiction of logic and reason. However we are assured God is one. Yet we know there three personages, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. To our minds if we have three personages we must have three Gods. However scripture assures us that is not the case. Many people get very troubled over trying to understnd this and seek to reason it out in human terms. Once again I remind we are the created and our reasoning is trying to explain the Creator. Interestingly most Christian cults have a explanation of the Trinity. Either an out right rejection of the concept or some thing that seems palatable to the human logic. While we can’t completely explain it, and have even more problem understanding it we must accept the Trinity as defined One God three Persons in a blessed Trinity. EdB |

Perhaps it is LeslieN falsely accusing Kalos of calling him names. Kalos used some terms in an effort to drive home a point and it appears LeslieN mistook them as attack upon his person. See ID 126617 EdB |

I see. Well, I suppose he should phrase his responses more adequately as to not cause folks to stumble. Thank you for the information. | ||||||

I think Kalos did an adequate job expressing himself in his post, I suspect the problem arose because the post was then "read" in haste. Your welcome. :-) EdB |
