What should a person do when you want the answer to a request, from God to come at a particular time? You already have faith, that is believe that it is done. Is it possible to determine the time for the manifestation of it? | ||||||

Aba Let us be careful here. First God is not our servant standing at the ready to fill our requests. It is one thing to have faith and another to try to manipulate God. God has promised to make all things work to our good Roman 8:28. Therefore we have to understand God know what is best for us. Many times we may ask for something that would in fact harm us rather than help us and God will withhold it from us. Just as a parent withholds things from their children when that thing will do more harm than good. Scripture also tells us we ask and do not receive because we ask only to feed our lust. James 4:3 We see an example of this in Matthew 20:21-23 And He said to her, "What do you wish?" She said to Him, "Grant that these two sons of mine may sit, one on Your right hand and the other on the left, in Your kingdom." [22] But Jesus answered and said, "You do not know what you ask. Are you able to drink the cup that I am about to drink, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?" They said to Him, "We are able." [23] So He said to them, "You will indeed drink My cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with; but to sit on My right hand and on My left is not Mine to give, but it is for those for whom it is prepared by My Father." As for timing the word clearly says God timing is perfect while ours many not be. You must ask yourself what do you want, God’s highest and best or what you think is the solution for your situation? You need to trust God and trust that He knows the desires of your heart and that God as a loving Father will see those desires are fulfilled in a way that will make you a better person and have a closer walk with Him. There are many teaching today that feed our flesh saying, “if we have enough faith God has to do fulfill the desires of our heart:, but that frankly is false. God has only promised to be our loving Father meeting our desires as a loving Father. God will not intentionally turn us into spoiled brats or feed our lusts to our destruction. I think you need to rethink you position with God, learning to trust God not trying to order Him around or attempting to manipulate God to get what we want. EdB |
