joyfulnjesus The word is spelled Babylonian. The information is more history than Bible study. I would suggest you do some searches on Google.com or go to your library and research this info in the history books. From a Biblical stand point the Book of Daniel covers a period of time from approximately 605 BC to 530 BC of course there were prophetic passages that pointed to future developments. Babylon rebelled against the Assyrian empire in 625 BC overran it’s capital of Nineveh in 612 BC conquered Jerusalem in 605 BC. Babylon was overran by the Medo-Persian empire in 539 BC they continued until Alexander the Great overran them. EdB |
