Let's see, I don't have an answer for that. They are there because they were meant to be there and that's what was determined to go into it. I hope that has helped.

Angelpenned - Fine answer to the question of why so many books in the Bible. I would, however, amend your answer slightly, to read thus: There are 66 books in the Bible because God meant it so and the content is exactly what God determined it to be. --Hank
4 | Don't you think ...? | Bible general Archive 2 | Earnest | 109641
Hey Hank, Don't you think that more books are being written every day? I mean a few short moments ago there were but 39, and initially there were but 5. Do you think there will be books written in eternity... or will the Word cease to increase? |

Hello, Earnest - Your question is, "Don't you think that more books are being written every day?" .... My answer is, if by 'books' you mean secular books, then of course it is obvious that more books are being written daily. But if by 'books' you mean bona fide additions to Scripture, then I would give a categorical 'no' to that. .... Perhaps I misunderstand your question. Surely you don't hold that additional books of Scripture are being written daily. ..... As for your second question, "Do you think there will be books written in eternty...or will the Word cease to increase?" I have no knowledge of that whatever, and I am not given to speculation. --Hank

Hi Hank, Your surname would not happen to be Haenagraff ... would it? ps My reply was just as non-sensical as the others... that's all... and yes I think one could say that based on intimacy with the Father... one would readily know that He expects us to be changed from glory to Glory and in as much as the 66 books never dropped out of the sky in one shot there are books being written daily of the lives we live... Rev 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. ps we won't add anything ourselves... after all... He IS the author Live in the spirit a little Hank... these are the last days 2Corinthians 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. |

Greetings Earnest. When a question is posted on the Forum, the replies are read by everyone who visits the homepage. 2 Tim 2:15 reminds us to accurately handle the Word of Truth. How do you think your "creative answers" do this? Has the original question been satisfactorily answered? Some folks come looking for an "apologetic" that they can use to answer those who question the authority of God's Word et al. Have we let them down? mommapbs |
