Hi guys, I suppose that you are looking at baptism in these verses. However, in comparing the passages I contemplated on how everything has been subjected to Him after He went into heaven. Mark 16:15, "And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned. 17 And these signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it shall not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover." 19 So then, when the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, He was RECEIVED UP INTO HEAVEN, and sat down at the right hand of God. 20 And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them, and confirmed the word by the signs that followed." 1 Peter 3:21, "And corresponding to that, baptism now saves you--not the removal of dirt from the flesh, but an appeal to God for a good conscience--through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, 22 who is at the right hand of God, HAVING GONE INTO HEAVEN, after angels and authorities and powers had been subjected to Him. 4:1, "Therefore, since Christ has suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same purpose, because he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, 2 so as to live the rest of the time in the flesh no longer for the lusts of men, but for the will of God." Greetings Ray, Good Scripture references, my friend! Some other verses worth looking into are: Matthew 28:18 "And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth." Daniel 7:13-14 ΒΆ "I kept looking in the night visions, And behold, with the clouds of heaven One like a Son of Man was coming, And He came up to the Ancient of Days And was presented before Him. And to Him was given dominion, Glory and a kingdom, That all the peoples, nations and men of every language Might serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion Which will not pass away; And His kingdom is one Which will not be destroyed." [NASB] Matthew 11:27 "All things have been handed over to Me by My Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father; nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him." Matthew 26:64 "Jesus said to him, "You have said it yourself; nevertheless I tell you, hereafter you will see THE SON OF MAN SITTING AT THE RIGHT HAND OF POWER, and COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF HEAVEN." Romans 14:9 "For to this end Christ died and lived again, that He might be Lord both of the dead and of the living." Ephesians 1:20-22 "which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church," Philippians 2:9-11 "For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." Colossians 2:10 "and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and authority;" 1 Peter 3:22 "who is at the right hand of God, having gone into heaven, after angels and authorities and powers had been subjected to Him." Good thoughts! Blessings to you, Makarios |

Hi Makarios, It is good to think about Christ's dominion. I reflected on Scriptures today and considered narrowing down the dominion to one pronoun. 1 Peter 3:22, "...having gone into heaven, after angels and authorities and powers had been subjected to *Him." Mark 16:19, "So when the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, *He was received up into heaven, ..." Colossians 2:10, "and in *Him you have been made complete,..." Philippians 2:9, "Therefore also God highly exalted *Him,..." Ephesians 1:23, "...the fullness of *Him who fills all in all." Matthew 26:64, "...hereafter you will see the *Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power, and coming on the clouds of heaven." Daniel 7:27, "Then the sovereignty, the dominion, and the greatness of all the kingdoms under the whole heaven will be given to the people of the saints of the Highest One; *His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all the dominions will serve and obey Him." Isaiah 9:6, "...a *Son will be given to us." 1 Peter 5:11, "To *Him be dominion forever and ever." 1 Peter 3:22, "...subjected to *Him." Hebrews 2:8, "...left nothing that is not subject to **Him." John 3:35, "The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into *His hand." Matthew 8:27, "What kind of a Man is this that even the winds of the sea obey *Him?" Mark 1:27, "*He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him." However we understand the pronouns of our triune God, He is the true God who is worthy of our praise. From the heart, Ray |
