Is it okay to be baptized, by water, more than once? I have a friend who is going to get baptized for the second time, the first time happened when she was around 7 years old. Now at 23, she wants to do it again. What does the Bible say about this? | ||||||

JMR, The only case of being baptized a second time is in Acts 19. It was because they were only had John's baptism. They were not Christians. There is no case of a believer being baptized outwardly a second time. Some churches require you to be be baptized again, even if it was believer's baptism. Some will allow it. If she wasn't a believer, I say yes. Otherwise I'd say for her to talk with the pastor or elder/ deacon. I know some that were baptized a second time. Steve |
