Again, to answer, we are going to have to ask the question: Did the twelve apostles, and those who came after them, stop keeping the passover? If you are a Jew, then you are obligated by your circumcision to do so; however, if you're a gentile, not being of that circumcision of the flesh, then there is no obligation. The book of Galatians deals with the result of the gentiles who sought to be justified by circumcision and strict following of the works of the law - they fell from grace (Eph. 2:8,9). For we are justified "by grace and through faith", sanctified "by grace and through faith", and baptized with the Holy Spirit "by grace and through faith". Noone could ever be saved (justified, sanctified, or receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit) by working the law, for all have sinned (transgressed the law - I John 3:4) and fallen short of the glory of "God" (Romans 3:9-31, specifically 23 and also 19,20). Neither the Jew nor the gentile can be justified "by the deeds of (by strict observing of) the law", "Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law" (see verse 28 of the above passage in Romans). Neither are we made perfect by strictly observing the law; but, by our walk in His Holy Spirit in us (who are in Him by that Spirit) we grow on into perfection. I believe that if your a gentile who is going to observe the passover to gain a deeper insight and understanding of the type, and not because you feel you have to do so, you are doing well. Otherwise, you have stumbled; but, be of good cheer, YHVH will uphold you even in your darkest hour. That is why he gave Paul the words to speak to the Galatians, and in a way to us today, so that we could be convicted of walking in legalism (if we do so) and repent. |

Matthew 11, verses 28 and 29 (King James Version) 28 Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. The keeping of Shabbot is not given as a mitzvot (commandment) to the New Testament church. A Jew has to keep it, he is circumcised into Torah, so that he has no choice. The Gentiles do not do so because they are not physically circumcised; and those who are once they have been saved by grace and through faith, they are indebted to keep the whole of the Torah, they have fallen from grace. If your a Gentile, and you wish to fellowship on Shabbot, there is no law that says you can't. If you are trying to strictly adhere to the mitzvot and keep the Torah like the legalists do, then I am worried about you. You do not understand what the apostle Paul was saying to the Galatians who did the same thing, if you do this, so repent. I know whereof I speak, for I once was walking the same road, my God prevented me from being wholly swallowed up by the legalists. Anyone who tells you that you are not saved when you fail to observe the Shabbot like the Jews, I would stay away from that person, legalism is as cancer and it will eat you alive. If you want to go to a Synagogue on Shabbot you do well, if you do not do so like the legalists do, your rest is in Jesus Christ (Yah-hoshayah the Messiah) not a day. I would say the same thing about anyone who tries to teach you the keeping of Shabbot is the seal of God: that's an error (Ephesians 1:13 and 4:30 clearly say that we're sealed with the Holy Spirit). I now encourage all men to walk in the vocations in which they were called. Are you called as the circumcision, do not walk like the gentiles, you need to keep the Torah. Are you called being one who is a gentile, do not try to live like a Jew, you are not to try to strictly observe the Torah as the Jews do.
