"Therefore, I tell you that God’s kingdom will be taken away from you and will be given to a people who produce its fruit" (Matt 21:43, Common English Bible). I felt it worth contributing just this one biblical point. Jesus himself has the active voice in the above excerpt. While the Israelite nation did have a special relationship, or covenant, with God, this was replaced by a new arrangement which was instituted by Jesus Christ, and is the very basis of modern day Christianity. It is the reason we are all equally free to reconcile ourselves to God. What a beautiful gift. |

Insomuch as we have been grafted in and that which was dead has been burned (the destruction of Israel as a nation, Jerusalem, the temple, the priesthood under Vespasian, Titus and those that followed. However all God's promises to Israel will be yet fulfilled Zech 12 upon the return of the Lord Jesus Christ. | ||||||
