1 | Getting the verdict before the judgment? | Bible general Archive 1 | Mathew | 84285
Emmaus, You and your big words(disingenious)..lol Thank you for all your responces to my post. I appreciate your knowledge of the word, and the BIG words you use. However I did come to my conclusion on this matter on the soul and alot of other things by studying. I was raised for 26yrs. beleiving your view on this subject. Untill rescently I found to many things that just didn't line up with what my parents, and pastor were preaching. So I now attend a Seventh Day Adventist Church....whose music is very dull compared to my other church...But the doctrine is alot more sound. By the way, why do you always quote these sciptures of Paul talking Abscent from the Body with out putting it in it's context? You and I both know that Paul beleives in being "clothed". And he knew when this change would come. |

Matthew, Am I to understand that you, by personal study only, without any input from Adventist publications or discussions with Adventist came to these ideas all on your own and only then did you discover the Adventist church in a serendipitous moment and decided to join it since they agreed with you? A far as big words go, I hope you can apprecitate my dilema. I am trying to break myself of the habit of using little four letter words, especially in argumentative circumstances. Emmaus |

3 | Getting the verdict before the judgment? | Bible general Archive 1 | Mathew | 84289
Emmaus, Yes thats how it happened, however the pastor there has helped me out a great deal and given me alot of insight and views that I would have probably never thought of on my own....as have you. I'm constantly learning from all people and all denominations. And I'm not scared to change my views, test the scriptures, or change my church. However, I'm not easily swayed by every whim of doctrine. I can appreciate your dillema, and I like big words(I was only kidding around with you:)Hey, maybe you can speak in parables next.(kidding again) |

4 | Getting the verdict before the judgment? | Bible general Archive 1 | Emmaus | 84292
Matthew, Beware should I begin to speak to you in parables. They can be a form of judgement. Jesus began using parables in Matthew only in chapter 13 immediatley after he was rejected by the Pharisees. And then of course there was the parable Nathan proposed to David after the murder of Uriah. And then there is Is 6:9-10. Besides, parables are not conducive to the use of big words. It is late. Good night. Emmaus |
