2 | Is Bible for or against birth control? | Bible general Archive 1 | bjanko | 1092
Nothing. Though, if we are supposed to be living a life of faith in God, and life and death are in the hands of God, then it is reasonable that this matter be left in God's hands -- in other words that we take no action to prevent pregnancy, but to trust God with what He wants to give us. I think it is Proverbs that says children are a blessing from the Lord. To prevent pregnancy is to dishonor God by refusing His blessing, by handing it right back to him. Which one of us would dishonor the host of a dinner by refusing the food offered to us?
3 | Bible answer, please? | Bible general Archive 1 | charis | 1099
Dear bjanko, You think nothing of my thoughts? Fine. Tell me, could you be a little more Bible specific? You obviously have never been to a dinner where the host gave you so much food that you threw it all up on the table. (I am sorry, the analogy was perfect, but a little crude! ;-) Since you did not say your belief was based on religious edict from the church in Rome, I gather from your response that 1) you are male, and 2) your family is not yet complete, possibly not even started. (I apologize if my assumption is totally wrong) I agree wholeheartedly, children are a blessing from God. Mine are now teens, both a joy and a challenge. Both were born after my wife was healed from ovarian cancer. I understand blessing AND miracles. However, please give me some scriptures specific to the question before your zeal overcomes your common sense. I admire your desire to put your life in God's hands, having read all of your other comments and answers. I look forward to hearing more from you. In Christ Jesus.
4 | Bible answer, please? | Bible general Archive 1 | Lady Magdelon | 1370
This isn't the first time I have heard God refered to as this name. I believe our English language does not have a proper word to describe how awesome God is so we refer back to the biblical language it originated from. Sincerely Yours In Christ, Lady Magedelon. |

The question I was refering to was about Yaheway, a person posted a question about why we even have the word YaHeWay in the bible or refer to it when he cannot find it. I cannot spell the word so was hesitant to try and post it so hope this helps.
7 | Which question, please? | Bible general Archive 1 | charis | 1431
Dear Lady, The line of thought for this particular posting was 'birth control.' If you look below (scroll down), you will see this listing highlighted in yellow. You can use the 'Search' button on the upper left to find user comments by Bible verse, Date, User name, or Word. If you type 'YaHWeH' in the 'Word' box, then 'Enter', the postings with this word will come up. Sometimes this Old Testament name of God is just YHWH, and sometimes He is called Jehovah. I hope this helped you. If you need help again, just click the 'Question' button, and type Help, and explain your problem, then send it in. I, or someone else, will try to give you some pointers. Please keep posting! Blessings to you in Christ Jesus
