Luke 16:22 "Now the poor man died and was carried away by the angels to Abraham's bosom; and the rich man also died and was buried. Luke 16:23 "In Hades he lifted up his eyes, being in torment, and *saw Abraham far away and Lazarus in his bosom. Acts 2:27 BECAUSE YOU WILL NOT ABANDON MY SOUL TO HADES, NOR ALLOW YOUR HOLY ONE TO UNDERGO DECAY. In the Old Testament and New Testament we see there is a place for the dead called Hades or Sheol. As we can see from the passage in Luke there is two sides to this realm of the dead. One is blissful and happy the other torment. At the judgment Hades then will be emptied and death and Hades will be throne into Hell to show Christ triumph over them. Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged, every one of them according to their deeds. Rev 20:14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. |

One Very good you appended it to me so Simeon will probably never see it. You also answered something that has been discussed at great length and if Simeon would just do a search he would find a much more complete answer than you gave. By repeatedly answering the same questions over and over all we are doing is filling up disk space. Wouldn’t it be better to do a search find the thread that the subject was discussed in? Then if we had a question we could append it to that thread instead of having dozens of threads with basically the same information. I wasn't being a wise guy by suggesting Simeon do a search I was trying to cut the clutter from the forum. Which this now becomes. EdB |
