1 | Church Teachers leading Children astray | Bible general Archive 1 | Amaul | 55881
Do you know of Bible passages on leading "children" astray by leaders of the church providing false teachings? Other than the passages below (thrown into the sea with a millstone), I know that there were at least one other very strong passage (possibly in Acts?) that specifically relates to God's wrath being strongest against church teachers who mislead their flock. If you can provide me these other passages, I'd greatly appreciate it. Please consider both OT and NT. Those I found already are: Matt 18:6, Mark 9:42, and Luke 17:1-2 (all on better being cast into the sea with a millstone). |

Hello Amaul Ezekiel 34:1-10 is a classic portion concerning this. Steve |

That was ok, but I was still trying to find another passage. The one I'm thinking of was possibly in the NT, and possibly didn't contain the words "sheep" or "flock", however the meaning was very clear that God will have extra wrath upon church teachers who intentionally mislead others. Ezekiel 34 seemed to be more on a Shepherd's irresponsibility rather than intentionally leading God's children astray. Please keep more passages coming. Thanks.

Amaul: I believe Romans 1:18 speaks of those who know the truth, but suppress it. "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all unrighteousness of men, who hold (down) the truth in unrighteousness" Robert |
