2 | should red sea be reed sea instead ? | Bible general Archive 1 | CDBJ | 42263 | ||
The Reed Sea is very shallow according to what I have heard and the probability that God had the Jews cross this area is even more spectacular then having them cross the Red Sea. To me is would be a greater miracle seeing that after Israel got across that God drowned all the Egyptian army in that shallow water. God would have had to flatten them first so that the shallow water would cover them, since they were covered like a stone when it sinks. That is hard to do in a couple feet of water. Exodus 15:4-5 Pharaoh's chariots and his army He has cast into the sea; His chosen captains also are drowned in the Red Sea. 5The depths have covered them; They sank to the bottom like a stone.
