1 | Did Satan know God's plan for salvation | Bible general Archive 1 | Searcher56 | 42137 | ||
Point 1 - Satan misquoted Scripture. Point 2 - Satan knows the plan ... that is why he tried to have Jesus killed before His time and why he tried to get Jesus to divert from God's plan. |

You make a good point. Satan did try to kill Jesus, but he could not have know when his time was in order to kill him before it. We must not give Satan too much credit. He is a created angelic being and has limitations. 1 Peter Chapter one says that the mystery of the gospel and the coming of the Holy Spirit is something that the angels desire to "Look into". The angels didn't know of God's plan before he revealed it, how would Satan? Satan and the other fallen angels did know that Jesus was the son of God. They could have made and educated guess, but do you think that Satan would have inspired the Jews againts Jesus to have him crucified if he knew that it was part of his redemptive plan all along? Do you think that Satan would inhabit Judus and betray Jesus if he knew his actions would result in his death blow?Here are some verses to look at: 1 Corinthians 2:7 "But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory". (In context of Salvations plan) Colossians 1:26 "Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints". (Again speaking of Salvation) Romans 16:25 "Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began". 1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory." Satan is powerful, and cunning no doubt but he is still just a fallen angel, he has no power that God has not allowed him to have. I hope that you will continue to study and remember like the church of Berea we are to "study to see if these things are true" Don't listen to what I think, or my opinions only listen to the Word of God.
